"I really miss Smiley," Helma murmured, sprawled on the sofa as she turned to Cole. Cole, who was busy handling Guller Group business from Minador, thought of his son too. A gentle smile played on his lips, "Smiley's safe and sound at home. Do not worry." "If you're really missing him, why not give him a video call?" Helma's eyes were swollen and tear-stained. The mere thought of that moment made her feel like she was going to lose it: "Let's just drop it. I'm scared that if I see Smiley, I'll zip straight back to Greenville without a second thought."

Cole smiled. "Does marrying you really increase my chance of getting them back?" Amy asked. Cole put a finger to her forehead to smoothen it out. "Frowning doesn't really suit you, you look beautiful when you smile" Cole smirked. Her frown got deeper. "And what you mean to say is that I don't look beautiful when I frown?, and that I only look beautiful when I smile, ha ha ha, funny" she said sarcastically. "No no, I mean you look pretty always, you look great, I just don't really like it when you frown, you know—"

His perfect smile stretched wide, his posture relaxed like he didn’t have a care in the world. “Hayden!” he said warmly, striding forward to clasp my shoulder and pull me into a hug that felt more like a headlock. His hand clapped my back too hard, lingering a beat too long. “Jared,” I said flatly, pulling away. “And this must be Coleen.” He turned his smile on her, dialing it up to dazzling. He took her hand in both of his, shaking it with exaggerated warmth. “It’s so wonderful to finally meet you.”

I don’t think I've heard him laugh or make any kind of happy sound before. “Meh” I shrugged. “Can’t take her anywhere” Gunner huffed grabbing my plate and putting in the microwave. “That was quite the show you put on earlier” Cole leaned back in the chair and put his hands behind his head, raising his eyebrow at me. “I told you she was wicked” Smith mumbled again. Cole smiled and shook his head,

"You'll have to wait until-" "But I can't hold it anymore. May I remind you that you guys took me before I could even take a leak!?" I demanded. The usual stares , which I honestly don't get. "Morning beautiful" Cole smiled at me. God he is really cute. One new friend , maybe this place wouldn't be so bad after all. I smile at her after my inner self decided to act like everything is okay, and the tests were wrong. “Umm..... stop fake smiling at me” she says when she looks at my face “I swear it's not fake. It's genuine. What's up?” “Umm nothing really just wanted to make sure you're okay” she says “Trust I'm good girly” I smile at her. Joel walks into the car with a box of donuts and some hot chocolate. “Ayyy food” I giggle in excitement and Joel smiles at my behavior “Someone's in a better mood” he says and hands over a cup of hot chocolate to me.

“It’s like a mix of white chocolate, fruit, caramel, and some other flavor that’s refreshing. It’s so hard to explain. It tastes like the most amazing fruit ever.” I look at my hands after. “I’m sorry,” I say, as I realize it’s gone. “Don’t be,” Kole smiles. “Watching you eat it was good enough for me. I loved seeing how much you love it. I love seeing you happy.” “You make me happy,” I say. “Now I’m really gross though from the fruit juices though, so I suppose we really should get in the water.” “I suppose we should,” Kole replies. He peels off his shirt.

"What are you smiling about?" I chuckled. "Nothing." "Don't lie to me." He laughed. His arm lightly nudged mine. "You've been smiling to yourself all day." Had I? Probably. "Something good happened?" He probbed. I simply smiled, having no intention to say anything. Cole stared at me, then his grin widened. "Wait." His eyes sparkled. "Is this about Ria?"
