I said, and pushed the door open.
“Kai!” I heard my name and looked toward the bar where some old school friends stood, and Justin waved me over. Realization hit me hard that I’d been a bad friend to Jace. I could’ve introduced him to Justin months ago.
“Hey, man,” I said, as we bumped our fists together. If you didn’t know Justin you would never guess he was gay, because he was a complete jock, too, and not just in the way he looked or talked, and Jace was the complete opposite of all that.
