KNOCKOUT

KNOCKOUT

I glared at Jessie, and he just looked at me with sorrow. Jax announced Slasher as the next opponent, and I saw Jessie almost pee himself.

Who's The Loser Heir?

Who's The Loser Heir?

He stood in the Krauser Kartel’s main operations hub, his arms crossed, his gaze fixed on the flickering tactical maps. "You’re staying?" Kenji Treslow had asked him earlier, surprised. Jax was a rising star in the Phoenix Mafia, Townsville’s elite. His place was at the spearhead of the Townsville liberation. "I can't go, Kenji," Jax had replied, his voice unusually soft. He looked toward the door where Jade had just left.

Asher

Asher

What did surprise me, is Asher, who waltzes straight through the door. He has a smile on his face, but it is colder than ice. Asher hardly looks familiar, as he looks me up and down, an almost playful edge to his eyes. He looks like a walking contradiction, that could turn on you in a second, or take you to bed the next. "A mortal," he says coolly, hardly giving a sliver of his plan away. "This should be fun."

Alpha Alexander

Alpha Alexander

“We have to go now. There’s no time to worry.” I nodded and grabbed my sack, which contained a blade, a few clothes, and my mother’s golden hairpin—the only precious thing I owned. She had given it to me before she died. Jina and I slipped out the back door. That’s when I heard a distant scream and realized the enemy had already arrived. My second eldest brother, Jacob, and his fiancée, Kate, were waiting with a horse. Unlike me, they didn’t need horses to travel quickly. I always envied that. Moments like this made me feel the sting of being born human while my brothers inherited our father’s werewolf blood.

Dark Horse

Dark Horse

A guy, clad in black paced back and forth, next to his very bored friend. " I don't understand! There wasn't supposed to be a mistake! I thought you asked your 'friend' to keep a party? Are you listening to me!!?" he said. His friend, who was staring at his perfectly buffed nails, rolled his eyes and said, " No, I'm not. Also, I did ask him to. It's not my fault you couldn't pick a lock! "

The Apocalypse Hoarder

The Apocalypse Hoarder

Cyrus treated Linda's words like farts. Since he had nothing better to do, he decided to amuse himself by taunting the old woman. [Oh ho, @Linda, so capable, huh? If you've got so much skill, why not call Jack and Vincent to shovel the snow?] He named names openly in the group, showing zero regard for anyone's status. Jack Brogan, known as "The Jackhammer," was a notorious street thug. In Cyrus' past life, when the mob had broken into his home, Jack had led the charge with a mountain-splitting axe in hand.

Entwined Hearts: A Billionaire Romance

Entwined Hearts: A Billionaire Romance

The Next Night – The First Part of Their Plan Jasmine pressed fingers onto the smoothly waxed wood of a booth in a dark saloon, her eyes blankly drifting off into space. Whiskey and cigar smell hung in the air and jazz seeped from some ancient speaker far across in the corner. Jayla and Jade sat observing her from behind across where she was sitting, nervously protected. They waited. Then Jack showed up. He was wearing a black leather jacket, smile smeared across his face, still cutting. Jack eased in next to Jasmine and glanced at her sisters before he reclaimed his seat in his chair.

Aegis Group Task Force

"Then you should keep your nose out of our business." He lifted one brow. "Or what? Are you threatening me? Are you really that dumb?" Killam wanted to take that last question back, but he couldn't. Zak clenched his jaw. His eyes didn't quite bulge, but Killam could feel the hate rolling off the man. "Friends!" Killam glanced at the entry. Jabby grinned at him, eyes hidden by reflective sunglasses. He wore slacks and some sort of silk shirt held together by one or two buttons.

The Shambala Chronicles

The Shambala Chronicles

Shrushaw took off her hood and greeted a young burly man who was shifting some heavy boxes. "Well, look who we have here. The former Oracle." He joked. "Hello, Jack," Shrushaw said. "What brings you here?" He asked while continuing to shift the boxes. "I need to smuggle out someone across the sea, " Shrushaw said crisply. Jack nearly laughed out loud. A sudden inspiration had just come to him." And know what my price will be," he said cryptically. "What?" Markesh asked, his eyes shining with curiosity. Jack chuckled. "Let me think about it first. Your promise of freedom and restoration of Shambhala hasn't worked out well so far."
