As she shoved me through the doors, all I felt was a sense of crushing unfamiliarity. The excruciating, twisting pain in my stomach surged again. Unable to hold it back, I doubled over and coughed up a mouthful of black blood. As I frantically tried to wipe it away, Priscilla caught sight of it. She just let out a cold snort. "Nice touch with the props. You really think that's going to make me feel guilty? Save the performance for Mom and Dad. Those cheap tricks don't work on me."

He was wearing his grim reaper cloack and a formal attire underneath. Shane's ears burned bright red while staring at Mara's mismatched eyes. He secretly pinched himself. "Knock! Knock!" He said and Mara chuckled. "Who's there?" She said. She knows about this modern joke. Shane's face burned brighter. He didn't mean it as a joke. He flicked Mara's forehead and then leaned closer to her. "It's Death, on your doorstep," He said and then planted a kiss on her forehead. "It's Death, on your doorstep, who?" Mara asked.

The vase shattered against the floor with a sharp crash, and he collapsed on the broken shards. Blood spread quickly beneath him. “It wasn’t only in the food. I put the sleeping pills in the water too. “You don’t deserve to live. And neither do I. We both needed to face what we’ve done.”

"I will send someone over to fix your door." I gave him a quick glance before looking away. I heard him leave and didn't move from my seat as I sat there trying to process everything. I messed up big time, there was no way around this. Even though Jacob said he would try to fix our situation, I knew it wouldn't be possible, if it was he would have done it already. Instead we're linked to each other until one of us dies- if one of us dies. I guess I should be grateful he hasn't killed me yet, I know he must be thinking about it and for him that is the easiest and quickest option. For now, I had to stay away from him and figure out what I was going to do about my family.

While I was transporting the sculpture away, I felt extremely agitated looking at the snapped finger. Before receiving the DNA analysis report, I still had hopes that this person might not be Hazel.
