Jacob laughed. “I’ll kick your ass too!” I said as I glared at him. “Kris! We have one more surprise for you.” Penny yelled from behind my front desk. “What?” I looked confused. She walked out carrying a massive book. I recognized what it was right away. It’s the type of book that you use for a portfolio. “You got me a new book?” “Kinda.” Penny showed me the cover. It had a Black Moon with two wolves howling. The leather was fresh as I could smell it. Alec took the cover and opened it for me.

He radiated warmth unlike some people. A slow song plays in the background, the stranger places one of his hands on her waist and the other one takes her hand in his as the both sway side to side. "Who are you?" Jade asks him out of curiosity, here she was dancing with a stranger whose name she didn't even know in the first place. "Ahhh, where are my manners. I'm Jacob Black, Alpha to The Deep Shallow Pack." Jade's mouth drops open, now that she was aware about it she could feel the power he emitted, but it wasn't too intimidating unlike Adryan's.

He tapped the diary against his chin, pretending to think. Tiffany’s face drained of color. “You didn’t actually read it,” she whispered, her heart pounding. Did he actually read it? How much did he know? “Didn’t I?” Jacob smirked, leaning in close. “Here’s the deal, Tiff. You go to prom with me, and your secrets stay safe. Otherwise…” He trailed off, leaving the threat hanging in the air. “That’s blackmail!” Tiffany hissed, anger flaring in her chest. “You can’t do this!”

Chapter 10 Nathan’s lips crashed against mine with a force that knocked the breath straight out of my lungs. My eyes went wide with shock and my hands flew up to his chest automatically, trying to push him away, but it was like trying to move a brick wall. He was so much stronger than me and right now he wasn’t holding back any of that strength. His mouth was hot and demanding against mine, his lips moving roughly like he was trying to devour me whole. One of his hands tangled in my hair, gripping it tight enough to make my scalp sting, while his other hand pressed against the small of my back, crushing me against his body.

The first smut scene he came across was tastefully done. He reluctantly stopped reading when he saw an hour had passed. It was a shame to stop reading, but he did have a job to do. “It’s good isn’t it?” Becca said with a grin. “I’m really hoping he submits something else soon. We do have a six book deal with him so he’s got one book left.” Zach wondered what type of person Damien Black was based on his writing. His mental imagining of female centric erotica authors was middle aged women unsatisfied with their husbands. Damien Black seemed like someone refined and well read.
