“I’m waiting.” He held his hands up defensively. “Okay, Okay, easy.” He ran a hand through his blonde locks and stared up at the ceiling for a moment before continuing. “I didn’t want to tell you because you’re leaving and it’s not your concern... but... in four days Landon is stepping down as Alpha and they’re holding a contest. Rune and I are competing.” In Blackwater, the Alpha of the pack wasn’t determined by some birthright, but by the strength and worthiness of the wolf. Only the most powerful and most honorable was allowed to lead the pack to glory.

Regina Opening my eyes, I came face-to-face with a giant black wolf, its penetrating brown eyes locked onto mine. Its fur was sleek and glossy, reflecting the moonlight that filtered through the dense forest canopy. I could sense a primal intelligence emanating from this majestic creature as if it held ancient wisdom within its gaze.

My wolf said ,she hated disrespect. I growled at his words, how dare him insult me, I could feel dark energy surroundings him and if I were to absorb them all then I will make myself weaker, the asshole doesn't deserve light. And if I'm to also snap his neck am sure his alpha wouldn't like that and take that as a threat and start a war which wouldn't be too good for me since I'm getting weaker by each seconds. "I am Alpha Emera Black, Alpha of the Black moon pack and beside me is Beta Christabel and Delta chole and we are here for the annual meeting arrange by the council elders." I said as calmly as I can without snapping his neck in return.

"I feel everything and nothing at the same time." "It's normal," he removed his glasses. "did you talk?" "Not really. I couldn't afford to set eyes on him for long." "I understand you," he brought out a plain burgundy book from a stack of other books that was on his left side and forwarded it to Louisa, "THE TALES OF A PAST, by Dick Malcolm, when your mum and I began to fall apart after the incident happened..." he admirably smiled at Louisa, "I read this book often. Every day and night. I was furious to the bone, yes, like any other person in my shoes would but ended up realizing that I was the root of the cause and encasing so much anger will do no good to me or my family."

Dad grabbed the nurse, throwing her out of the room alongside himself. "Well-done, Emily, you have accomplished your mission." A sinister scent emerged, a wicked laugh echoing across the room. The once blue sky was now a mixture of black and white with the moon reflecting its radiant image. Wails filled the air as a ray of light fell from the sky, hitting a mountain on the other side of town. I groaned, wincing as my hand was scorched by the flaming book. The pages settled, words in red appearing on the pages. "Strigoi, Nosferatu, Jiangshi…"

Regina resolutely ignores the curl of amusement the lord is no doubt wearing, at the matter of the dog’s possession. “If you, well. If you’d also repurchased that book on stars from the other night.” Mattel leans back against the headrest, a lazy smirk on his lips, and an infuriating glimmer in his eyes that Regina is rapidly learning to detest. “You noticed what book I purchased?”

And according to my intellect about werewolves, he didn’t admire it. He turned sharply, fixing his eyes on his new prey. My heart literally jumped to my throat after noticing that murderous glint in Zayden’s orbs. “Why are his eyes red? Blitzer’s eye color is black with golden circles in them. What’s going on here?” Suddenly, Zayden shook his mighty body, the bodies of the guards handling him flew away like dried leaves in the wind. Beta Alex jumped between me and Zayden and growled, signaling me with his snout to run. Amelia grabbed my arm and begged.

he said. Elena's heart pounded. "What do you mean?" she asked, her fear evident. "I, Adrian Jacques, the future Alpha of the Bloodlust Pack, reject you as my Luna!" he declared, his voice echoing in the tranquil garden. ---

I nodded as I watched her and followed to sit in on of the two wing backed burgundy leather chairs, table in the middle, at the side of the room. Once settled, she carefully opened the old leather bound book with the most beautiful image of a lotus flower with a letter D woven throughout its petals, a wolf laying the the base burned into it. Mom lovingly ran her fingers over the grooves of the image. “This is the crest of the House of Durand.”, she explained as she handed the book to me. I committed the image to memory, noting that the wolf on the cover looked like Bella. Mom looked at me, a small smile on her face.

For now, she didn't even want to wonder what would happen if aunt Margareth finds out about her feelings. Selene stretched first, then slowly dragged herself off the bed, her eyes immediately fixed on the Book of Magic that was lying down on the desk, the one she had gotten from aunt Meredith yesterday. Selene took it gently in her hands and sat on the edge of the bed, setting the bulky volume on her lap, and flipped through the book several times. Afer the fourth time she stopped at a page that showed a portrait of a man with ebony, half-length hair, in a long black coat... The face itself seemed familiar at once, but when Selene saw his eyes - dark and captivating like two black holes, she
