“Am I right, Mrs. Pascal?” “Not exactly, and I am sure that there is a better way to have said that. Unfortunately, Jade is long-sighted and can’t see objects close to her.” “Oh really?” Blondie whined, feigning concern. “You poor thing. I can’t imagine how hard that must be for you. It must be hard not being able to see the things that are right in front of you.” “Yeah, especially when they are none of my business,” I couldn’t resist saying.

Julian’s eyes flicker between Blade and me and he says, “Don’t tarnish our line with this half-blood. Do you understand me?” Blade scoffs, “You can’t control me, father.” Julian’s eyebrows raise, I don’t think that Blade has ever stood up to him before. The look of shock is rather satisfying. Blade turns on his heel and faces me, “Let’s go to your room, Raya. I can get food brought to us.” Julian yells behind us, “We have nothing for humans!” Blade calls back as he leads me away, “She’s a half-blood! She drinks like us.”

I grabbed his wrist and he was hot. "You have to stop. You'll explode." I begged but he didn't listen. He went forward and continued. The Holden bloodline makes you bloodthirsty when you turn evil and it's a path you can never come back from. I wanted to go meet him but before I could get to him, I saw a shiny golden light from him. I began to feel weak. I got stabbed from behind. I fell on my knees and Alpha Jareth continued fighting. "Stop!" I yelled as he turned to look at me. He didn't care. He continued fighting till the light became brighter and brighter and he exploded.

I was a threat to them because I fed on their blood instead of human blood; I had trained myself to live with animal blood, though it didn't give me the satisfaction that human blood would. For several generations, my body has come to terms with animal blood, and the reality, I didn't intend to change. ” We have to get it under control.” Theo suggested. “ Alpha, the chains are loosing up!” one of the warriors complained and I stared up at the wild animal that was looking at me with bloodshed eyes.“ What do you suggest?” Theo asked, stepping forward, but I didn't have the chance to answer as one of the chain's thorns, the beast started shoving the warriors one after the other rendering the ch

Please tell me you did not murder any of Darius's pack members because you will not survive. Jade springs to his feet and strides towards me. He never takes his gaze away. Even though I know he's not going to hurt me, the intensity in his gray-eyed look causes me to hesitate. I collide with the doorframe, and Jade appears, seizing my forearms and pushing me towards him. He doesn't appear to be moving, yet I'm immediately held in his arms. "They die," he adds, his voice low and wolfish, "every single fucking one of them dies." First and foremost, breakfast."

**Jade POV** Jasper nodded slowly; his eyes still illuminated in an eerie way. “We hid you and ran to help Mom and dad. We thought we’d be able to get back to you. We thought wrong. Jasper didn’t know what to do, he was so afraid. I was still dormant, but I managed to find the strength to take over and carry him through.” He was looking stoically only at me as if we were the only two people in the world. I could sense Cleo’s eyes on me, could hear her sobs, but somehow, I couldn’t break this eye contact.

Hecante helps clear a table so that Darius can place Jade on top of it, Hecante inspects the wound on Jade's head, her head seems to have hit the edge of the stairs pretty badly. "Give her more of your blood," she says to Darius, as she moves towards her work station to make a herbal paste infused with magic so that it would speed up her recovery. was the only word she uttered, and a red circle appeared on my hand, with a triangle inside of it – though one of the lines of the triangle was beginning to blur. “Oh heavens, no!” She cried out, and I was mortified though I didn’t even know what she sounded so scared of. “What? What’s wrong?” I asked, holding onto her hand, and bringing her closer to me in my desperation. “If all the lines of the triangle were to blurr…” she trailed off, looking anywhere but at my face. “You need to give Jade your blood someway. Pronto.” I didn’t need to be told twice and immediately rushed to the cottage, Luc hot on my tail.

But unfortunately they all had missed the deep threat in it. "Why do I care about that shit? How does my mate's necklace connect to the way you bloodsuckers care of your little bloodsuckers?" Jade growled while trying to free himself and keeping his inner beast without lashing out in a limited-spaced-jet, Adrion sat in his seat without a care of his struggles. "We'll see aft-" Adrion tried to say but the feeling of a quick zap of electricity running down his spine and through his veins instantly shut his mouth up, and vaporized the shadows he put over Jade to hold him in place.

“What do you mean fine? He’s lying there unconscious, he’s bleeding, how could he possibly be fine?” Alice exhaled, her tone steady but reassuring. “The dagger, listen to me…it isn’t supposed to work on beings who don’t have any witch blood in them. That’s the only way its curse is activated. Jade doesn’t have a drop of witch blood. He’s just unconscious and has a small wound that will heal soon, that’s all.” Shane froze, his hand hovering over Jade’s chest as he turned sharply towards her. “You’re saying, he’s not dying?” His voice cracked again, but this time with a flicker of hope.
