My eyes bulged and I rounded the desk to see the live feed of Charles, changed into a different suit, his beard back in place, and his crown. Gregory and the Enforcers helped clear a path. She glanced at Xavier, as if begging for help, but he was staring straight at me, ignoring her. Panic started to set in for her. “Xavier, Xavier, I didn’t mean for this to get so out of hand. I thought you’d just divorce her, that’s all!” Unfortunately, Xavier wasn’t falling for it this time. He wasn’t stupid. In fact, he was incredibly sharp. A man like him wouldn’t be fooled by such a simple lie unless he wanted to be. In the past, he had idolized Eve. Whatever she said, he believed it. Her “death” hit him hard, and he had been quick to accuse me based on the evidence.

Xavier sat there watching him the whole time, watching his suffering with morbid excitement. Once Xavier saw the results of James’ change, he trained him as a soldier. Andrew was like a second father to him and he couldn’t allow Xavier to make him into a murderer on top of being a monster. So he escaped, but something happened to him while he ran that stormy night through the woods. He felt a sharp pain in his head that caused him to fall to his knees.
