Rules and Roses
Slowly, I walk inside, assessing my surroundings.
It was a small room, the walls made of the very same bricks that covered the pathway. There were crates and boxes full of torn shirts and the whole place smelled like sweat and dirt and grime. Covering my nose, I walk towards one of the crates, it was full of dusty old clothes. I lean my head backwards, sighing. Just when I thought I would be clean for a long time; it seems like I would be full of dirt yet again. Digging my hand towards the messy pile, I pick something that didn’t have scratchy fabric. Shaking the piece of cloth wasn’t an entirely good idea. The dust spread through the air and I find myself sneezing softly.
