He watched her with a smile—one I used to think only belonged to me. “You love it that much?” he murmured, pulling her into his arms. “More than me?” Nerissa laughed softly, looping her arms around his neck. “Why don’t you take me to bed and I’ll show you how much I love you?” Jason glanced up—and our eyes met. Then he smiled, like it meant nothing, and scooped her into his arms. “Not so fast, babe. We have a dinner party first. After that… I’m all yours.”

*Piper's POV* I sat on the bed for a while after Jaxon had left the room. I had gotten caught up in the moment with him. I knew it was dangerous to be close to him and I slipped up. After he left I could feel the shame and regret develop inside of myself. I felt dirty. All I wanted to do was talk and that didn't happen. This was unacceptable behavior. I never acted on impulse like this, usually I had been able to really think things through. Of course back at Moon Stone I hadn't been around my fated mate.

Piper’s POV The door to the main hall was still closed. I stood at the door holding the bucket of red roses with trembling hands and a slightly cold sweat. It was a special day for me and Jay. We would become one and legitimate before God and everyone. Jansen would finally have the Adams surname behind his name, but most of all, he would finally have the father he’d always wanted. “Piper, don’t be nervous. Relax and take a deep breath,” Lisa said.

It would be best to take Piper away first before things become contentious. However, Jackson had no intention of allowing her to leave and grabbed her arm, "Where do you think you're going?" Jane turned her head and spoke coldly, "Please let go." "And if I don't let go, sleep with me for one night, and I will give you everything you desire," Jackson grinned, pulling Jane into his embrace.
