The door creaked open. Jeffrey walked in carrying a bloody chunk of meat that was still warm. He handed it to me. “It’s deer.” I blinked. “You went hunting by yourself?” He shrugged. “I’ve hunted alone since I was fourteen.” We roasted it over a small fire. Silence enclosed us, thick and heavy. The only sounds were crackling flames and distant wolf howls. I chewed slowly, stomach twisting. My gaze drifted to Jeffrey’s torso, exposed because he had ripped his shirt apart to bandage me.

"I told you I was good with close combat. Knives are kind of my thing." "I can see that," Axiel said slowly. He walked over to the doorframe and pulled the knife free, examining where it had struck. "Dead center. That's... impressive." "I've had practice," I said, strapping the second knife to my other thigh. "Back in my pack, I was one of the best knife fighters we had. Guns are loud, messy. Knives are quiet. Personal." I met his eyes. "And in close quarters, they're often more effective."

Justin’s POV Contrary to what everyone believed, I was fine. I wasn’t hurt as bad as they thought neither did Jake stab me as deeply as they thought. I mean he didn’t even use a real knife but rather a Swiss knife which was not only small but also short. Jake had stabbed me, yeah but it wasn’t to kill me but rather to hurt me because he knew I’d caught him at a tight corner and he’d be going to jail either way.

Feigning ignorance, he asked, "How did it happen?" jeff, still shaken, replied, "That woman had a knife! Her skills were so precise it was astonishing. When I went to the hospital, the doctor said she was just a hair away from cutting my artery. I didn't get to enjoy the beauty, and I almost lost my life. I just want to know, where did you find that woman?" Wayne's mood lifted when he heard that jeff hadn't managed to take advantage of Scarlett. Leaning back in his chair, his expression remained as cold as ever. "Why are you looking for her?"

JEFFREY POV _________________________________________ I held on to the knives and was slanting the knives all over his skin ,he was screaming but sorry boy no one will hear you . His eyes were black and sunken with dark circles round about like a ball ,he had barely slept and his bones were showing from his ribs . Hmmm hungry much hahaha ... He grinned. “Shut up!” Jaxon screamed and slashed his arm with the knife. Jaxon went to the table and grabbed a plier. “I’m giving you two chances to take back your disgusting words.” He glared at Kevin as he twirled the plier he was holding. His sharp eyes looked at me. It is even sharper than knife. So, I just nodded and looked away from him. I just hugged pimples. Jeoff cooked silently. My eyes widened when I saw Xander’s hand holding a very much looking sharp knife with his hand as I stood right in front of him, my back glued to his chest. “Holy shit, that knife almost penetrated my frontal lobe.” If it wasn’t for Xander’s quick reflex, the knife would’ve of found a new home. Inside my brain. Dominic was holding many small knives on his hand, between his fingers as he threw them on the door but when he noticed us he murmured a small ‘oops’ then grinned. Xander had none of it as he threw the knife right back at him, but Dominic was quick to dodge his hit and the knife hit the wall.
