Before I headed out, I turned to Jess, who was lounging on the bed, buried in her book. “Hey, want to tag along?” I asked, half-hopeful. Jess looked up, raised an eyebrow, and snorted softly. “No, thank you. One, I wasn’t invited, and two, I have this thrilling book to finish,” she teased, wiggling her book as if it were the most riveting thing in the world. I couldn’t help but laugh. She wasn’t one for social events, especially uninvited ones. “Fair enough,” I replied with a grin. I knew she was better off at home anyway, enjoying her solitude. Gamma Alex explains. “Damn it,” she sighs, punching the steering wheel. * Later in the afternoon Athena P.O.V “I think I found something,” Jess says, and leans across the table to give me the book she’s reading. I look over the page, not really understanding what I’m looking at. “Is this for the Crescent Warriors, or for Cassia?” I ask. “Oh, I’ve already worked out how to break Cassia’s spell. We just need to choose the right time to do it,” Jess explains.

Letting out a sigh, Jess looks back at me before saying, “You look pretty with that hair color.” “Thank you.”, I say. “Is that all that is going to happen?”, she asks. “I’m not sure; I’ll check the book, maybe there was something I missed.”, I say. Doing just that, I grabbed the book once again, and saw if there was any hidden message from her; when I didn’t find any, I was going to give up, but I noticed on the back of the book inside, there seemed to be an so opening it, I pulled out a note.

There is no escape now, just the reassurance that I can enter his room, do my job, and that will be that. I don't need to communicate with him... "Of course not. Unless you're victim to shaky hands in the presence of very attractive men. Then you might be in trouble," Jessa tells me, accompanied by a wink. She seems unbothered now, the shudder in her limbs gone. I'm jealous of that. "I'm not...I mean, I'll be fine." Jessa grabs my arms, smiling at me. "Akara. He does look different. But not all Summoners are bad."

CJ says as he locks the door. Jess is looking me up and down as if I'm a disgusting piece of shit. "Honey, you're really lying to yourself." "What do you mean?" "Don't you know?" "Know what?" "About CJ." I roll my eyes and groan. "What about CJ." She leans in and whispers. "What he told us he's planning to do to you..." "What do you mean?" Jess smirks. "You ask him, honey." ^^^^^^^^

' Jessa groans frustratingly at her failure to forget what she heard back at Edmond's office. She has been recalling it ever since she left the building and now, she is on her bed still thinking about it. She has even tried to sleep but she just can't push the thoughts out her mind. She would have thought a great force is making the memories stuck so deep in her memories like a glue to a paper but hey, Jessa is never a person to believe in such supernatural things so she immediately dismisses it. She has been reading a lot of fantasy books, as well as supernatural books but she thinks they are all a creation of people.

And even when they had stopped talking about werewolves and had began talking about something else that even made her laugh and made her decide that she really didn’t hate the boy–the nerdy-funny-boy who connived with her boyfriend to counter her opinion–she still kept thinking about it and how she could prove them wrong. Jess realized that she could no longer concentrate on her book so she got up and packed them all, including Jaden's own. He had fallen asleep the moment they decided to stop talking and focus on reading because that’s what they had come, initially, to do. She tapped him softly till he woke up and informed him that it was way past eleven and that they should be on their way

Esme is looking at the ground. “Esme please explain.” Her father says. She sits down, still looking at the ground. I see her let out a sigh. She begins to tell us the story of going to visit her cousin in another pack. I am furious, as are the others, when she tells us how that stupid alpha rejected her at 16. I think she is right that her side of the bond never developed, so breaking the bond was easy and pretty much painless for her.

If it wasn't for her, then none of this wouldn't be happening, these people wouldn't be living in fear. Jessie washed the dirty from her body, telling herself that things will be alright and all this will be over soon. If Martha can forgive her, then so can Christian and his family. Jessie turned the water off with new determination. ''I am Luna, it is time for me to act as such and to stop feeling sorry for myself. I will get the pack back, and my Alpha back." Jessie towelled off, got dressed, ate the meal that Martha set out for her, then apologised to her because she couldn't stay to talk.

It is Jessy’s story and not to worry, your favorite Greyson and Freya still feature in the story, along with the twins, Smith and all the wonderful characters from this book, but it takes us through Jessy’s life as an adult so expect to read more of that.
