Jesse Stone Novels Novels & Stories

“Were you looking for me?” “Yeah. For like six hours.” Cass looked concerned and got closer to me. “Are you sure you’re okay? And why are you holding a stone?” “What?” I looked down at the book in my hands and back to Cass, who was also looking at the book in my hand. “This?” I waved it around, and she nodded. “Yes…the black stone in your hand.” Cass pointed at the book and, even though I was confused, I stammered out an answer.

“William may seem kind… but his family, Jasmine. They have been involved in some very dark things. Things that don’t make headlines because they are too powerful.” My face twisted with disbelief. “Are you telling me that you traveled across the continent just to slander my husband’s family over some rumor you heard?” “I’m not slandering,” she whispered, eyes darting around as if someone might be listening. “According to my trusted sources. The Stone family has been involved in some serious crimes; they have taken lives and stolen land and businesses. They don’t just break the law; they are above it. And from what I heard, William is their new leader.”

Stone. These fucking humans are going to really wish they had never messed with my pack. My stomach drops as realization hits me. I should have known it was the body was the Stone’s 17 year old daughter, Kollins. She had gone missing a few weeks back after she physically assaulted her mother. I remember the call that day, Mr. Stone was absolutely frantic and shouting for Nick and I to come as fast as we could. When we got there Mrs. Stone’s face was battered and bruised and Kollins had taken off. My warriors were busy with an issue with the other side of the border dealing with a rogue when I felt Kollins cross the border. Anytime someone enters my territory or leaves I can feel it. It was l

She’s trouble, always dragging him into fights, but he’s hooked. A growl cuts through the alley, and my vision sharpens. Two of Damon’s wolves step into the light, their eyes yellow, teeth bared. “The kid’s got the stone,” one snarls, pointing at Jerry. “Hand it over, pup.” My heart freezes. The bloodstone. Damon’s obsessed, thinking Jerry stole it from the alley. Jerry only found this shard later, hidden in the chaos. “I don’t have what you want,” Jerry lies, stepping in front of Sasha. His voice shakes, but his claws are out, glinting.

--- Tessa wrote a new volume—small, only a few pages, bound in leather the color of granite. She called it The Stone's Witness, and she wrote it in the language of the old magic, the words flowing from her pen like water from a spring. The watcher showed her visions of the bench being placed on the hillside, of the first witnesses gathering around it, of the countless hands that had touched its surface. "The stone does not judge," Tessa wrote. "Don't forget. It does not intervene. It simply holds. The way the watcher learned to hold. The way we learned to hold. The stone is the foundation of all witnesses."

I whispered and he chuckled darkly. “Who are you again?” “Hanie Carter. Wife to Ethan Carter. CEO of the Carter enterprise. My husband is so loving to let me take over his company.” I muttered dotingly as we walked out of the room and he nodded in satisfaction. “Don't slip up. Emotions would only break you down and make it easy for you to be trampled on.” He reminded me and I flashed him a smile. “Stephanie Stone died in the elevator that day. Along with all her emotions. Hanie is manipulative. Dangerous. Seductive. We're not the same.” I said, getting into the car and he leaned down, a cunning look on his face.

“Dominic Stone would not have been in New York at the same time a few creeps attacked me and stopped the car, putting his life in danger of getting me out of there alive. What are the chances of that to happen?” “Good question, but you certainly didn’t think that an actor like Dominic Stone wouldn’t have anything strange about being in New York. He might have had an early event and maybe he has a house in New York too” “If we are playing this particular game, I may not be winning.” I admitted, somehow defeated again in my pride. “That means you do believe me!” The confidence with which he stated these things drove me crazy. “Actually, I don’t... for now. The chance is too... I don’t know...”

I'm sorry Ziva I know my letter is going to burn him like acid. I had left no choice after much deliberation I had reached to this decision. There is no cure for the pain I had caused him. I had swallowed a tough pill. Dane would think that I didn't even have the patience to stay for the night and tell him to the face. I had already ditched the phone along with my disinterested body guard. I walked away from my Stone hearted C. E. O. Even if he wasn't Stone hearted he is going to become one and I would be the reason. This is the second time he is being betrayed. First time it was his first wife and now it is me. It will be a miracle if he trusts a woman ever again. I also felt bad for Heidi.

It did nothing to soften his stare. Jesse noticed my steps slow and followed my gaze. The moment his eyes met Grant’s, the moonstone flared. Heat struck beneath my shirt so sharply that I gasped and grabbed the pendant. The stone burned against my palm. Jesse turned toward me at once. “What happened?” “Nothing.” “That didn’t look like nothing.” The heat vanished almost as quickly as it had come, leaving the moonstone cool beneath my fingers. Grant’s attention dropped to my hand. Even from across the courtyard, I saw his expression change.

But this was different. “And Jesse Cain,” Don Chappo continued, his voice now almost a whisper, “he’s working with the Stones.” I froze. “Jesse? His own uncle?” My heart thudded in my chest as the realization sank in. Jesse, the one who sat in meetings pretending to support Nathan, was playing both sides. Don Chappo nodded slowly. “It’s worse than you think. The Stones have infiltrated Nathan’s operations through Jesse Cain. They’re tightening the noose, and Nathan doesn’t even see it coming.”
