ADONIS looked from me to Cy. "You're a chef?" Mr ADONIS asked. What? "What? No, I don't mean it like that. I'm a writer," I smiled at them. I'm sorry, but how dumb could he be to think I was a chef because I said "whip". "Where are you from?" Cy asked. "Nigeria," I smiled proudly. Mama Africa y'all! "If I may, I have a question," I raised my hand. It reminded me of secondary school, where you'd have to raise your hand to ask any questions.

Clara jumped in, her eyes wide as saucers at the name he mentioned. Everyone knew the Williams. They owned one of the largest corporations in Nigeria. Even in Africa. They had a chain of over 350 hotels, restaurants, bars and resorts. And that was only in Nigeria, not even counting abroad. And they were a co-owner of one of the biggest bank in Nigeria. First bank. I wondered how it must be being that rich. It was said the man that founded the company had been brought up in one of the poorest areas in Nigeria. Then he had passed it down to his son, Mr Ajayi Williams who just recently retired and passed it to his son. Alexander Williams.

I have been here a lot of times but I still get stunned by this magnificent mansion. I know it's a mansion and I shouldn't expect anything less but this particular mansion is exquisite. Mr Nwachukwu. Michelle's Dad is a very affluent businessman. Owning about 60 oil companies just here in Nigeria. One would expect the wealth of Michelle's family to get into her head but Michelle is quite humble.

I look forward to being a well known writer like, Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie, the late legend; Chinua Achebe, Nnedi Okorafor, Wole Soyinka, Colleen Hoover, Ted dekker, Sidney sheldon, Dean Koontz and so many others. I don't think I have ever seen anyone who reads wild like I do. My love for books is out of this world, I just purely love good books, like really really good books with awesome plots. I can't be spotted anywhere without holding a novel. I was about to read one, 'Home coming' by Yaa Gyasi.

And there is also another great writer who is a French citizen. His name is Albert Camus and I deeply appreciate him for his stories about life that has touched

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Lanre Ayanlowo is a prolific writer. He is the self published Author of Green the Fairy, The return of the Gladiator King, and The wonderful world. You'd expect me to write more about my culture, my people. I recently told a friend to read my work on Wattpad and he said he'd try. Eventually he called me and said he finished my Book Insomnia and my edited version of After dark. He told me he enjoyed it but he expected something more about Nigeria and Our lifestyles. There was something he said that hit home. He said and I quote: I don't really blame you sha. You're just whitewashed. Sometimes I wish Nigerians would embrace their heritage and stop acting like oyibo.
