For the first time in weeks, I wasn’t drowning in sorrow. That’s when Liam walked in. He froze at the sight of us laughing, his brows furrowed in confusion. “What’s going on here?” I wiped my tears—this time from laughing, not crying—and tried to compose myself, but Claire beat me to it. “Oh, nothing,” she said airily, standing up and stretching like a cat. “Just giving your woman some sisterly advice.” His eyes narrowed. “What kind of advice?” Claire smirked, striding toward the door. “The kind that ends with you two making up… thoroughly.” She winked.

Save Sean, who remained silent and serious to a broody extent, and managed to stand between Silvia and the side door. Only ten minutes later, Silvia felt she could relax from the brink of a massive stroke to a more comfortable dead-stiff state. Everybody turned to look, to find Jim between the legs of a girl, who was sitting on top of something with her dress rolled up to her hips. He flashed one of his mischievous smiles as he reached out for the knob, and closed the door with a royal, “Carry on, people.”

Music played softly through outdoor speakers near the patio. Everyone looked happy. Relaxed. Then Claire arrived wearing a black dress that probably cost more than my monthly rent and carrying a bottle of expensive wine like she belonged there naturally. Within five minutes she’d found Liam. Of course she had. I stood near the edge of the patio nursing a drink I barely touched while watching them talk across the yard. And then Liam laughed. Not politely. Not carefully. A real laugh. Easy and familiar. Something ugly tightened in my chest immediately. “Absolutely not.”

Jack whispered, looking amazed. Claire pulled out another vial and a piece of paper. She held them out to Jack. "This has got to prove that Morgan's right." He said taking them. Slowly footsteps were heard coming towards them. Claire quickly covered the hole with the piece of wood and stood up. Jack grabbed her hand and pulled her with him. He was hoping to sneak past the person in the dark. He back them up against the wall of the ship. Getting himself and Claire as close to it as possible. Hoping to blend in. Claire looked at him her heart racing. This wasn't going to work. Jacks hand was sweating in hers. The footsteps became louder and Claire's mind was screaming to think of something. J

Bernadette interjected, her voice tinged with a hint of exasperation. A faint smile touched the woman's lips. "My father, Jasper McCain, is part of your circle. I'm Claire McCain." The name triggered a recognition deep within me. Her father, a trusted associate, managed my affairs alongside Michael. After a hesitant nod, Claire proceeded to approach the bed, settling herself beside Rebecca. Gently, she unfolded the towel, revealing the round swell of Rebecca's stomach. As she placed her hand upon it, my eyelids fluttered shut, deliberately shutting out the scene before me.

When he arrived near the house, Claire with quickly opened the car's door and entered the small metal house that was on the painting beside the door. When she is inside, she starts activating Jimmy's laptop which is lying on the table and after it was on, she looks for something from a search site. She really stuck in there until some guy come in to the room. "Hurry up ..." muttered Claire tapping her finger on the table waiting for an account to emerge that she used to use before migrating to London due to her previous case ..

Claire grabbed a quick shower and settled in her nook to read for a bit before bed. Glancing at her phone, she hadn’t heard from Mal for a few hours. She sent him a quick text asking if he was still all right with having a FaceTime call later. No reply. A few hours later, Claire fell asleep, phone in her hand. Brad and Steph were still inside, doing Goddess only knows, making them ‘late’ by Jack’s standards.

At Sinclair Estate, the afternoon sun scattered shimmering reflections across the pool. Claire walked along the edge, her heels tapping crisply against the stone tiles. Her gaze drifted past the water to the man taking a call near the courtyard. When their eyes met, she didn't look away. She headed straight toward him. Liam heard approaching footsteps, muted the call, and turned. "Hi, Liam." Claire stopped two steps in front of him, hands clasped behind her back, wearing a poised smile. She offered her hand. "I'm Claire. Nice to meet you."

Claire murmured beside me, obviously trying to create conversation. I felt Xander squeeze his ass, as he's hips pressed into mine, making me shiver at the electric current running through me from just that one contact. I turned to stare at him my brows slightly raised, but he wasn't looking at me, he was staring at Claire like he didn't know what he did. Fine two could play the game. "Babe," Claire murmured, as I turned my attention back to her. "Sorry, what was your question again?" I prod.
