The Wolf Without a Name
I heard Frank say, as he walked up to the kitchen counter and held on to it.
"He will be an Alpha one day," Cindy said, walking up to me and holding me by both hands—happy. "I'm going to be a Luna," she said excitedly, as she jumped around in the kitchen.
I watched her as she danced happily, forgetting that her mate was somehow attracted to me. Sadness again swept over me when I remembered what Ares had said to me.
"Look what you have done, Cindy," Frank lashed out at her.
"I'm sorry, but I had to save him," Cindy apologized to him. "I could not leave my mate out there to die," she said and began to cry. She walked over to me and hugged me.
