My eyes level with his and I open my mouth to drag air inside my lungs as his hungry gaze sweeps over my body.

They look like they could tear me apart. His narrowed eyed glare roves over me. I hold his stare, watching as something crosses his eyes. Something that looks very close to hatred. I freeze. “You had your chance, Ora. You jinxed it. Now, may the auction begin.”
