It was surrounded by those 'walkers', stumbling around like they were in a trance. "What are they?" He breathed out, staring in disbelief. He chugged some water, letting out a sigh of hydrated relief. "They call them walkers." She pointed the screen down slightly to allow him to see easier and switched to the website she was reading. "There's information on them, finally." As Adam read, she watched his expression change from confused to terrified. "This is like an actual zombie movie." He spluttered, barely able to get his words out. Behind them, a stirring caught their attention.

The guards nodded, moving to obey. Then I saw him. Adler. He looked awful; bruised, bloody, barely standing. I felt a strange pain in my chest at the sight of him. “Adler?” I croaked. Through the mind link, his weak voice reached me. Quinn… He slowly raised his head to make eye contact with me, the pain in his eyes. He wasn’t just hurt, he was disappointed. “I thought you escaped. How did they—“ he thrailed off through the mind link.

So he left them in the mall while he and his puppets left the mall under the mejar 's control and promised to come back before night. None of them knew , Adrian is broke in to the bank around the city and taking the gasoline form the six oil station in eight hours he disappeared from the mall. He comes back when the sun almost disappears from the sky and his small team members already wants to walk out from the mall to look for him . " Fortunately, you come back , Mr Adrian or your team members will be walking out to search for you. " The mejar Said to Adrian as he looks the him worriedly . " I'm sorry. I was stuck in one of the bank for hours before the zombies slowly disappeared ." Adrian

If I didn’t have my father, brother and sister to fight for, I would’ve surrendered myself to the hunters, ending my life under their cruel hands. I couldn’t bear to do that to my family though, especially not to Vivienne. The coven needed me at that time, but when I fulfilled my part of the bargain and managed to bring them to this safe haven and win Cora over to our side as our protection, I knew I couldn’t bear living another second with all the blood that was on my hands. I had to end it. But I was a coward. I dreaded to think of what would happen once I actually die. What happens to the living dead once they pass away? CHAPTER SEVEN Part of Aleta’s favorite red hoodie turned up in some bramble outside of the city. It was cut, shredded, and stained. Animals had been gnawing and tearing at it, pulling it apart thread by thread by thread with their canines and incisors and grinding molars. From what they recovered of Aleta’s body, she had also been gnawed and ripped, but the animals pulling her apart had been a different sort. Angry Marie made a decision, then, and the impact of that decision would way heavy in her soul for the rest of her life. But seeing as her soul was pretty much tattered beyond recognition anyway, it didn’t seem like that much of a leap.

Alden asks, his tone slightly delirious. I’m unsure if he is being serious or not. “I’m here.” Alden looks as though he has seen better days. Shadows beneath his eyes are haunting, presenting how little sleep he has had to anyone who gets close of him. His skin is drained of colour and looks sickly. It seems as if I’ve only been gone for a short amount of time. What happened to him? We stand next to each other as the elevator glides up to the top story. I’m too scared to move, to even breathe for a moment. I’m waiting for him to make the first move. To determine how this conversation is going to go.

I ask him and he shrugs, reminding me so much of Jude when he was in trouble for running off instead of doing his schooling. My eyes soften and I exhale softly. The land stretched endlessly, a war-fested wasteland scarred by trenches and craters. Burned villages smoldered in the distance, skeletal remains of homes jutting from the earth like accusing fingers. I saw banners torn in half—werewolf sigils soaked beyond recognition. Lightning struck nearby, splitting the ground open with a sound like bone snapping. And then I saw him. Adam knelt among the dead, his hands drenched in blood that was not his own. His eyes were wild, hollow, glowing faintly as though something else wore his skin. He looked up at me, mouth opening—b

The Alpha said they have no influence over the points.” I turned to John, who was absorbed in a massive book balanced on his lap. “Where did you get that?” “The library,” he replied, closing it momentarily. “The Secret Life of the Thirteen Pack: True Testimony from a Living Witness by Elder Adam.” Jess raised an eyebrow. “I see you’re buying into the very trash you used to dismiss.” “I believe him now,” John said earnestly, tapping a page. “He’s telling the truth about the Thirteen Pack.”
