My heart began pounding in my ears and the next thing, I couldn't hear the beating of my heart anymore. This was the least news I was expecting to discover. Seraphina and Caelum are related?! Judas, on the other hand, appeared completely unhinged. His bloodshot eyes flicked over me before darting to Alexei and Rara. The air between the two men crackled with tension. "Seraphina," Alexei's deep voice startled me and I jumped. His dark eyes swept over me briefly, but they held none of the madness I saw in Judas's pale gaze. "I hope you're adjusting well." I nodded quickly, unsure what to say. My attention kept slipping back to Judas, who had yet to take his eyes off me. His existence was suffocating.

I couldn't feel the mate bond, but I figured it was due to the fact that I was yet to turn eighteen; I still had a few weeks until my birthday. “My name is Seraphina, I am Alpha's Garrick's daughter.” I quickly introduced myself, although finding the words difficult to say. Knowing I was related to that man after everything he had done to me was another torture. “Oh,” he muttered with a change of expression and then he turned away again.
