I bet he fucks like a devil too.” My cheeks burned again, and I turned up the collar of my jacket to try to hide it from her. “Probably.” Harley laughed. She didn’t giggle. She wasn’t the giggling sort. “Maybe one day, one of us will be lucky enough to find out.” I licked my lips as she picked up the red flag and pushed it into my hands. “You’re up, dollface. Give me your jacket.”

“Can you believe that?” Giselle shook her head. “Sorry, she’s a bit of a diva. Everything has to go her way or she’d lose it.” Ashley was thoroughly amused at what just happened. “I still can’t believe Aston’s going to marry her.” Giselle turned me around. “Let me guess…you are Harley Quinn. Where’s your joker?” she asked. As if on cue, Max’s bike roared in. Dressed like a perfect joker, Max sat atop the bike. He revved his engine maniacally, showing off.

Hera POV A few hours earlier. After leaving the basement with all the information about Eagle and his plans from Victor Kade,I get the team in place for our first move against Eagle. Victor already confirmed that Finn is Indeed Eagle and the leader of The Jackals,a notorious syndicate that has been operating in three States. He is the one who takes care of business for Eagle around here and now that he is down, Finn will most likely contact someone else to coordinate the upcoming transaction. Apparently, they are expecting a shipment to land anytime in Chicago. Although Victor insisted that he didn't know what the shipment was about,he guessed that it could be related to the new sex club Fin

Pack members parted for me as I reached the main hall. Alpha Jaron was in the center, sitting on the ground, arms braced on his useless legs. Broken furniture lay around him where he had clearly thrown things in blind rage. His hair was disheveled, his breathing ragged, his eyes wild red. He looked feral. Wolves stood at a distance, afraid to go near him. Beta Allen hovered close but hesitated as Jaron lashed out again and slammed his fist into the wall with a roar that made the whole hall tremble.

Desperation had its advantages. By evening, Valentina had bought some essentials from the dollar store and settled into her room. She sat by the window, watching motorcycles pull up to Mack's below. The Riot Kings. Duke's motorcycle club. Her stomach knotted. Would she see him tonight? Was he even still in Riverdale? Maybe he'd left like she had. A familiar rumble made her heart stop. She'd know that engine anywhere. The custom Harley with the modified pipes that growled rather than roared.

He’s been my little wingman through all of this. I scan the crowd again and spot the red and black. Of course Alice is Harley Quinn. I smile to myself as I walk over and look her up and down. She’s got on the classic Harley costume. Not the new one from Suicide Squad, but the black and red jester outfit that hugs her lush full curves in all the right places and makes my mouth water. Her hair is down, and the dark curls frame her face. She’s not wearing her glasses, and her eye makeup is heavy. She looks like a nerd's wet dream, and I’m having a hard time walking a straight line to her.

They’ve arranged our chairs to form the shape of a crescent moon and they stand in front of us, seeming to admire their work. My mind is running one thousand miles per minute. I’m going to drive myself crazy but at this point, I don’t think I have anything to lose by going crazy when there’s every possibility I’m not getting out of here alive. The question keeps replaying over and over in my head. What do these people want? “I’ve never been a fan of family reunions, but what do you think about this one, baby?” The Joker asks, one hip cocked. Through the hole in her mask, I see Harley Quinn smirk but she says nothing, merely watching us.

I couldn’t help but smile at the fascination that sparked in his eyes. “What on bloody earth is that?” he asked. “A magic mirror,” I teased before explaining to him the best way I could what exactly a television set was. I asked if he wanted to watch a movie, recalling the extensive DVD collection we’d found earlier that night. I asked him to pick a movie and he returned with two interesting picks: Chicago and the Godfather. It was almost a reflection of the kind of person that he was – a musician and a killer whose loyalty to family stood above all else – either way, tormented, with darkness constantly looming over him.

Harley was the product of an affair. After her mother died, she decided to make contact with her father, Ron Hale, a criminal and leader of a felon-filled, biker outlaw club, The Savage Scorpions. After months of virtual communication, she decides to visit him in his small Californian town of Pleasant-Tree-Ville. When she arrives, she gets less than a warm welcome from the other SS members. As the days pass, she starts forming friendships, bonds and something a little more with Alexander Coates, Her father's second-in-command... and best friend.

I said, shrugging as I took another large bite of pizza. “That makes sense,” Penny said, nodding. “Harley is very loyal to his friends and Xaden is his best friend.” I was impressed with how much they knew about the three of them already and I felt a bit intimidated. I wanted to know so much more about all three guys, but I knew I couldn’t without stepping on Xaden’s toes. It’s not like I could get close to Harley to learn anything about him. He won’t go anywhere near me because he’s Xaden’s best friend and he’s very loyal to his friends. I admired that about Harley and it got me wondering….
