Jeremy’s POV The heavy iron door shut behind me with a bang as Lisa’s desperate cries echoed faintly as I swalked away from her cell. I ignored it as I couldn’t afford to let her words sway me. She was a vampire. A vampire. And not just any vampire—Lord Alireza Firouzja’s daughter. The implications of that alone were enough to make my wolf growl.

But instead the solemn face of Josh greeted her. "Get me some aconite! Quick!" He commanded as soon as his eyes fell on the suffering vampire. The sharpness of his voice gave strength to her weak knees and she ran out in an instant, not sure of where else she would find them and plucked out some still blooming flowers that lined the main entrance to the mansion.

"Damit, the basement doesn't have wheelchair access." Jessie is our soon-to-be Luna, in other words, Carl's mate. While Drake was her brother when they were mortal, and my parents adopted him as well. I have a lot of questions for them, but they don't respond when I ask them. Even though I'm close to Drake, he doesn't know anything about their past, while Alice has always been upset with me for reasons I can’t seem to comprehend.

Not that Lucas didn't see the rest of the pack as family, but, the bond between him and Lyle was different. "Lyle's name is Actually Carlyle, but, he hates been called that. Only few people he's close to, knows that. But, he just simply likes been called Lyle." I said. "woah, Like The Carlyle in Twilight?" Byron asked, surprised. "yeah, except, this Carlyle is a werewolf, and not a vampire." Jessie added. They all laughed, except Freya. " Who is she then? And how does she know he's Carlyle? " she tried to keep her voice pleasant, but, even she could hear the edge of irritation. She hated Lyle been close to another woman.

"Jesse, what's been bothering you? I can see it in your eyes. Please, tell us." Jesse sighed, his gaze fixed on the dancing flames. "There are things you all need to know," he began, his voice heavy with emotion. "Secrets that have haunted me for centuries." We leaned in, our curiosity piqued. Jesse took a deep breath, steeling himself for the revelations that were about to come. "I am not just a vampire," he confessed. "I am a descendant of an ancient bloodline, one that holds immense power and a dark legacy." Gasps filled the air as we absorbed his words.

It all happened so fast, there was hardly time to react. They grabbed Jesus, who did not resist, and Caitlin began to run to help him. But before she could reach him, at that moment, a lone vampire she did not see suddenly dove down, right for her. She turned at the last second, and prepared to defend herself. She raised her fists, ready to knock him down. But then, at the last second, she saw his face. It was a face she knew. A face she loved. And she lowered her defenses.

Now, finally, he could go and kill her. As they blanketed the sky, like a flock of bats, and descended to the shores of Venice, Kyle saw his moment of opportunity. He lifted off into the air, the sole vampire flying in the other direction, completely unnoticed, and headed right for Caleb’s Island. His mouth watered at the thought of finding her there, all alone, and capturing her, or killing her slowly. It was, finally, time for payback. * Jade stood at the waterfront and watched the sky. Rose sat loyally by his side, and had not left it once.

Before I could say anything, someone beat me to it. "I heard you got into trouble again. " Joey's husky voice came from behind as I gasped before turning to look at him who is right behind me. "How-how did you get into-" "We're vampires. Get used to it," I heard Franklin said while he sat up. "Katy, how are you feeling now?are you ok? " Joey asked while pushing Franklin away. Jeez! "Wai-wait! Everyone get out! I want to be alone." I said angrily but David came closer little too much to my liking,causing me to shudder.

I said innocently while trying to chew and I honestly have no idea how that worked. Cassie and Sophia burst out laughing their asses out. Cassie and Sophia are my best friend. Cassie was a white wolf, she was the eldest of the three of us, the fastest and my elder brothers mate, who happens to be the Alpha of Inara pack, which is my pack. Cassie is one of my mom's book class member's daughter, hence how we met and how she ended up being my brother's mate.
