Joshua rolls his eyes, but isn’t able to hide his obvious grin.
“Correction. I was never ‘trying’ to be smart. I am one. I wouldn’t be on this team if I wasn’t.”
“Point,” Harriet says, nodding, before throwing her arm around his neck. “But remember to never bet again in your whole life. In the last 18 months, aside from the research, if there’s something else we’ve all learned, it’s that you have terrible luck when it comes to betting.”
