MARRY ME, LORD

MARRY ME, LORD

Fear grips me like a vice, every breath a struggle against the rising panic. AJ and Sofia exchange anxious glances, mirroring the fear painted on my face. The reality of our predicament sinks in, the fact that we are hunted, cornered, with the threat of death looming ever closer. As the footsteps draw nearer, my thoughts jumble into a chaotic rollercoaster. The chilling realisation that this might be the end draws at my consciousness. A fear that I have never felt before, one that I never thought I would ever feel overcomes me. I am not afraid of dying, I am afraid of dying without revealing the truth.

Fire Wolf - Alphas' King

Fire Wolf - Alphas' King

It felt as if we were walking in a tunnel and the light at the end of the tunnel. I touched my shoulder. My brows drew together in fear, "Jasper!" A wave of dread tightened my voice. My head jerked to my side. My breathing was turning into a frosty cloud, "Jasper, it's not funny." I tried to look into the dark. Luckily, I could see through the dark with my new eyes, his eyes. I shuddered in dread when I heard a bloodcurdling howl. In panic, I picked up the pace, rushing out of the tunnel.

The Alpha’s Pride Mate (The Pride Who Goes Into Heat)

Chapter: 1 ****** Darkness enveloped him as he eagerly chased its cold embrace. Tears streamed down his cheeks and blurry eyes scanned the void for comfort. His trembling lips reflected a mix of happiness and fear. However, happiness is fleeting while fear lingers. Ultimately, the two are inseparable companions, for one cannot exist without the other. With great happiness comes the lingering fear of it being too good to be true. The True Nature Series

The True Nature Series

CAROLINE'S WORDS TRIGGERED A shift in me. I felt something changing and I feared it was me, or at least my life, as I knew it. Everyone moved in slow motion. Iosefa pulled away like I was burning him and Isaac moved toward me. I started falling ever so slowly toward a spinning void of darkness, like the space of time between wakefulness and sleep. And then with a sudden swoosh I plummeted like Alice down the rabbit hole, spinning and weightless, my chest seizing up with fear.

Sold to My Enemy Alpha

Sold to My Enemy Alpha

I whispered. He was beside me. His eyes were open. He had been awake for hours, staring at the ceiling, lost in his own thoughts. I could feel the weight of his fear pressing against me through the bond. It was suffocating. It was drowning me. It was the fear of a man who had been broken too many times. It was the fear of a man who had lost everything once and was terrified of losing it again. It was the fear of a man who had finally found something worth holding onto and was terrified of letting it slip through his fingers. It was the fear of a man who had finally found something worth losing. It was the fear of a man who had finally found something worth fighting for. It was the fear of a

at first I thought this was going to be the same as all the other stories. dumb main characters with a jealous girl who wants what isn't hers. I was wrong. this book was fantastic. I'm so happy I stuck it out and can't wait until the next book is finished to read.

The Black Wolf

The Black Wolf

I bathed, letting the water wash away the scent of the woods and the lingering warmth of our night beneath the stars. I dressed in silence, choosing something simple, practical for travel. My hands trembled slightly as I fastened the last clasp. Why do I feel this dread? I’ve faced danger before. Walked through bloodied fields and burning skies. But this, this journey felt different. Heavier. As though something unseen was reaching for me. I closed my eyes and pressed my palms to the edge of the vanity. No. I won’t give in to fear. I drew a breath, deep and steady, and lifted my chin.

TETHERED

TETHERED

I replied. When I reached my room, her scent enclosed me. I breathed in and out like I was entering a battlefield. As I opened the door, my gaze fell upon her. She stared back at me, her eyes wide with surprise. Startled, she stumbled backwards and landed down on her ass, dropping shards of glass from her trembling hands. The fear in her eyes was palpable, as if she believed I could bury her alive in an instant. The terror in her eyes caused my heart to ache profoundly, so intense that I felt compelled to rush towards her, wrap her in my arms, and alleviate her fear.

His Mate, His Enemy

His Mate, His Enemy

Wrapped together. Thunder crashes again. But this time I barely flinch. His arms tighten slightly around me. Reassuring. Protective. My fingers still grip his shirt. I don’t loosen them. Hours seem to pass. The storm keeps raging. Lightning flashes again. But the fear slowly fades. Not completely. But enough. Enough that my breathing evens out. Enough that my body relaxes against him. At some point— The fear changes. It shifts, transforms. Because suddenly I become aware of something else.
