It was when she turned around and looked at him…when their eyes met and she smiled that rendered him silent. She wore a simple pink dress and white lacy cardigan, yet the delicacy of the silk against her knees made her worthy of much more than a criminal like him. Her heels elevated her height while a white sash intertwined with the long braid that dangled around her right shoulder blade. Juliet was beautiful—stunning with a cute baby bump.

The heavy lock clicked, and the door swung open. Juliet walked in. She was no longer wearing her expensive tweed suits or her signature pearls. She wore a plain, oversized orange jumpsuit that made her look small and frail. Her perfect silver hair was pulled back into a messy knot, and her face looked pale without her usual makeup. But as she sat down across from me, she still held her chin high. The cold pride in her eyes had not changed. "You actually came," Juliet said, her voice thin and sharp. She rested her cuffed hands flat on the steel table. The metal chains rattled softly against the surface.

Juliet turned to me. “Mara!” She called out and I frowned, knowing fully well that my name wasn't Mara but before I could correct her, someone rushed past me in a white and black uniform which covered all of her legs. The lady had straight brown hair that was packed into a low bun coupled with a hat. “Yes Miss Juliet?” the girl answered, she had a timid voice and if i wasn't paying attention i would assume that she never responded. “Where is my dress?” Juliet asked as her eyes skimmed over the dresses splayed out on the bed, if i counted right it was about twenty, if not more.

POV: Juliana Capulet The leather-bound copy of Jane Eyre felt like contraband in Juliana's hands as she curled deeper into the window seat of her tower bedroom. Outside, the manicured gardens of the Capulet compound stretched toward the Pacific coastline, beautiful and pristine as a postcard. Inside, the walls of her gilded cage pressed closer every day. "I didn't even know you were back." It was Juliet who said that, Juliet was the house help, she just turned 19 recently and gave herself the big chop. Which she rocked like any popular Instagram model claiming brand influencer. She was skinny with a double d chest and a bit off a backside. She had one jeans and a white singlet. Juliet had been working for them for about a year now, she and Janet had become quite close because she was really a character. A funny one at that, with the year she had spent with them, Janet had come to know that she had been with more than four boys, her latest one was as good as a sugar daddy. He was 30.

The weight in my chest pressed heavier as a soft melody began to play, and the grand screen at the front of the hall flickered to life. An image of Juliet appeared, dressed in an elegant, shimmering sequin gown, poised like royalty. In her hands, she held a square-shaped perfume bottle, sleek and sophisticated. It looked eerily familiar, its design striking a chord within me. My breath hitched. It took a moment, a long, agonizing moment, before realization hit me like a freight train. I’d seen that design before.

The servers are known to be quite sassy as they try to keep low scale individuals off the property. With full hands, I spot an irritated Juliet by the doors. “What are you doing here?” “I thought I would help.” Juliet flings her hands out. She wants to help in her six inch heels and short mini skirt that barely covers her ass. Without a choice, I have to agree. Even though her help will be useless and slow, I need all the hands I can get. “Okay, grab some balloons or bags from my car,” I retort by bossing her around.

“She is a rude girl. Who doesn’t get scared when they see a vampire in their house?” Raven was wrong. Of course she was scared, she just couldn’t show it. Juliet was used to wearing a mask. The one with the rude behavior. But she wasn’t. She was like a rose, so beautiful and captivating. However, if you didn’t treat it with due care… Its thorns would set you back, protecting herself. “What will you do with them?” “It’s none of your business.” “Perhaps I should notify you that Camille is on her way,” the jerk dropped.

However, at this moment, the sound of footsteps falling down the stairs can be heard. She comes to a halt and turns, and there, right at the last step, is Juliet, who isn't all that dressed up as she is only clad in a black floral gown that stops just beneath her thighs and boots with sunglasses and no makeup but still looks stunning. "Get your eyes off me! I'm not gay!" Juliet yells at Brianna who can't stop gaping at her. "Gross! Even if I were a lesbian, you would not be the type of lady I would sleep with! I was merely staring at the statue behind!" Brianna scoffs and stares away.

“You should have seen the look on Tiffany’s face when they declared you the winner. Her mouth puckered like she was eating sour lemons.” Everyone snickers and settles down. Juliet takes the large crown with its glimmering rhinestones, places it over her head, and waves around her as if she’s waving at a real crowd. The crown is at least eleven and a half inches with a swirling heart pattern. A beautiful Waterford teardrop dangles in the center of it, gleaming with the light of the moon. Kell turns the crown on Juliet’s head, playfully tilting it to the side. “There you go. Now you have a gangsta crown.”
