Jax backed up a step, took a running start, and jumped.
For a moment, it looked like he’d misjudged—his toes, scraping the crumbling edge. But Corvin’s arm shot out, hooking his forearm, hauling him up and over with a grunt.
Jax landed hard on the far side, rolled, and popped back to his feet with a panting laugh that was mostly adrenaline.
“Again,” Corvin hissed, every muscle fighting gravity.
