Pov Samantha ****** My stomach twisted with a mix of dread and adrenaline. The world outside the glass walls of my office, the world I had so carefully kept at a distance, was now crashing in. The glossy, vicious headline and that photo proof of the private, intense bubble we had created was now public property. Every whispered word, every charged glance, was being twisted into a narrative of their making, and it was a lie. The lie was burning, and I felt the heat of it on my skin.

Sitting on the chair, putting a book on the table, she pretended to read a book. I went and sat beside Ryan. "Oh, you are reading a romantic novel". I said while giving surprising expressions. "Yeah, I like them". He whispered. "Have you read three mates and the alpha". I asked him. "No, I don't like fantasy novels". He replied. "Oh, I often read romantic fantasy novels". I said. "By the way, who are you? hero! I haven't seen you in this high school. Your face can't easily be forgotten. So, I know that you are not from here". He asked.

But the moon goddess knew what she was doing, she led me to the most spectacular woman I had ever laid eyes upon. “Whenever you’re ready boss,” Amara’s voice pierces through my memory. I quickly straighten myself and let go of the past. I curse to silently trying to remember that living in the past is doing me no good. I slowly open the door, hoping that singular notion will help lessen Ella’s fear. As I enter the room I see Ella dozing off with Xavier in her arms. Fuck even that tiny gesture has my whole demeanor crumble. Ella’s POV

I was immensely curious to know what the news she got was, but I didn't want to ask as that may seem rude and It wasn't any of my business to know what it was. "Oh" was all I could mutter out. "I like you" She suddenly said out of nowhere. I looked at her confused as to what led her to that statement. She continued "You could have easily asked me what the 'news' I was talking about was, but you kept your questions to yourself. It shows that you're not an Amebo" She laughed, her eyes crinkled at the edges.

I said with more confidence. "With face it is" "Thanks" "What is your story about anyway?" he leaned closer to the table and put his arms on it. "It's a romance novel and I would like to refer to it as such. Despite the pornographic details on it. It's a story of a bad boy falling for an innocent and fragile girl. He's a wild spirit and she is conservative... two opposites attract" I giggled and I didn't even know why. "They have sex like crazy in every position I could think of, anywhere and every time they meet" I kept giggling like a little girl and he smiled like he enjoyed our conversation. That was good...

And I was grateful for the time I needed to move past the anger and the humiliation of having him assert dominance like I was a common, misbehaving pup. I found myself in the library again, on the third day of my anti-Asha crusade, a book comfortable and familiar in my lap. It was a novel I hadn’t read yet, something I wasn’t used to. A crime thriller that had titillated my interest with its bold main character and wild plot twists that had me hooked from the first line. I was three quarters done with the book, quietly paging through the novel in the silence of the library. Not many wolves came by, which was something I had never been more grateful for, leaving me in peace.

Until I open my eyes and dump once again this feeling. Fine Missamy! Enough! My clothes are getting wet already because of your tears!
