I stop listening as I realize that Mr. Cole isn't someone Kimbra has seen recently. He was her date at the company Christmas party. He's the jerk who cheated on her on New Year's Eve. I dismissed Cole's assistant. A while later, my phone lit up again. It was another photo. Cole was in bed with the rising young actress, Kai Orwin. Their bare bodies were tangled together, lost in each other's touch, kissing deeply. The way he looked at her—possessive, hungry—was the way a man looks at a woman he wants to claim. Kai's exposed skin was covered in red marks, proof of how fiercely he'd kissed her. I thought I'd grown strong enough. But the image still cut deep.

“What exactly do you want me to look for?” Aaron leaned back again, satisfied. “Anything that doesn’t fit.” David nodded slowly. “Alright.” He turned and walked out without another word. The door shut. Silence. Aaron sat there for a second… then reached for his phone. A few taps. The screen flickered—then switched to a live feed. Cafeteria. Men in uniforms. Noise. Movement. Trays clattering. Guards shouting orders in the background. And then— Cole. Sitting alone at the edge of a table.

Ryan break this pictu- My eyes get terrifically wide as I see the playboy swimsuit calendar on his table. The girl in the bikini is Kelly Clawford, the model I slept with last week. Is he into girls? Is he straight? I ask myself. My wolf is swimming in jealousy, envying the calendar bikini girl. Ryan, tear this calendar and that dog's picture, break all the computers and tables. Dakota screams in my head. "I have an extra if you like it this much." I knew who said that because my heartbeats instantly fasten hearing his smug voice. I turn my head, glaring at my mate. Does this human even know who I am?

Less than a minute after they settled down, a tall and handsome man who appeared to be in his late thirties alongside a lady that looked short standing beside him approached them, their arms intertwined to show that they were a couple. "Hello, Mr. King. I'm Matthew, and this is Claire, my partner," He introduced, extending his right hand for a handshake. Martin received it without smiling, and he also shook the lady. The smile on her face looked false. Caitlyn could easily tell by merely looking at her. "They're probably fake couples, too,' she thought. " Well, since you know me by my name, I don't think there's a need to introduce myself." The man, Mathew chuckled dryly.

"Thanks." She glances sideways at me. "You’ll be fine. Stick with me. I’m weird, but not mean." N. NAs we walk into third period, History of Supernatural Integration, whatever that means, Rhea pauses and nods toward two guys sitting near the back. "That’s Kai and Axel,” she says. “Try not to stare. Everyone does." I glance over, not expecting much..Then my breath catches. Kai is dark-haired, broad-shouldered, with this quiet brooding intensity like he’s constantly doing calculus in his head or judging everyone silently.

They were still scared to say anything to me. "How did you meet Kai and Xavier?" I asked directly to Ana and Caroline. "I met Kai while photographing for the Blackmoon co-operative magazine," Caroline said dreamily. "We hit it off, and Kai is amazing in every way, including in bed." I tried not to cringe at the mention of their intimate details. "What about you, Ana?" I asked, cutting off Caroline's speech. I wasn't interested in listening to her bedroom adventures. "I met Xavier in college; his mysterious air and wit had me fall head over heels for him. We dated for a year until he broke up with me to look after his pack as an Alpha.
