I would crawl if I had to. I stepped out of the bedroom and found Kai at the stove, wearing nothing but low-slung sweatpants. The sword tattoo ran down the center of his back, the blade pointing downward. Up close it was never completely smooth — I always felt the faint ridges of old scars when I ran my hands over it during sex. It makes my heart soar; me on the other hand, I’m still in recovery so to speak- my bruises and minor injuries are almost gone, but thanks to the severity of my thigh wounds and the several operations to remove glass and skin grafts, I am still in a lot of pain.
