I got two murmured you're welcomes, and I bit into my biscuit.
Deck and I made sure I had everything out of my car that I might need, and then I applied some makeup and blow-dried my hair while Brodie took a shower. Deck listened to the voice mails on my phone and read the messages, and I kept glancing at his stone-cold, pissed-off face. It was embarrassing, and for some reason, I was scared that anyone that heard them would believe all the horrible things that Rob said about me.
