He walks closer and leans down, but before he can do more damage, someone grabs him by the back of his neck and throws him against the wall. I look back and notice Kane. His eyes turn black. I swear, just the look on his face could kill. As Kane's eyes lock on me, I notice how intimidating he appears to everyone. Kane's hand reaches for my face, and I lean closer. His touch is soothing, easing the stinging sensation. Kane kneels and whispers, "One second, kitten. Please, close your eyes." He smiles as I nod and shift my gaze to the floor.

They turned into stones" I look around but didn't see anything that reminded me of dragons until Kai pointed to the bigger rock beside me. I looked at it closer and gasped when I noticed that it had a face. I looked back at Kai and then looked at the stones again. All of them had faces.. "Actually I'm impressed that you didn't feel threatened by their aura. Even if they are made of stone right now, they still have their aura left. So now when I have answered your question, you will answer mine. Why are you here cousin?" Kai said and tilted his head.

He looks good when he keeps his mouth shut because whenever he speaks up it doesn't help at all. In fact his voice and presence sucks up your confidence leaving you stammering. "That shouldn't bother you." I said looking direct in his eyes but when he raised his bruised eyebrow at me,I started to blink several times and quickly diverted my gaze away from him.

I was too lazy to think of a good explanation. Axil nodded in understanding. I kept my gaze on the floor as I asked, "so what's your story? Why were you turned to stone? Did you do something bad?" I could practically feel the tension strengthening in the air as he acknowledged my question. He spoke through gritted teeth, "my pack was betrayed by our Beta, the second in command under the Alpha, who's basically the leader of the pack." I nodded in understanding, "I've already read about your ranks, I know how it goes."
