Chapter fifteen Keisha’s Pov “Why don’t you live with your parents, Keisha? He kept asking the same question over and over again. “Where are your parents, why don’t you live with them? Do you still talk with your parents? I start breathing fast and heavy because it feels as if my lungs aren’t getting enough air. Adrian notices and gets up from his chair. “That’s enough, dad.” Adrian said in a stern voice . “I’m just asking her a question, Adrian”. And it all starts coming back. The flashbacks, the pain, what I’ve been trying to forget for the past 8 years, what I’ve been trying to run away from, and suddenly I can’t breathe.

Keith watches with fascination and longing as memory Keith steps through us and goes to a memory version of me. **Flashback** "Roxy? Do you trust me?" Jack asked pulling out his gun. I wiped some of the tears that drenched my face before I looked at Jack again. All of a sudden everything went dark. **End of Flashback** That son of a- I stomped out of my room to see Jack sitting on the couch with Roxy in his arms, both still sound asleep. Seeing this took me back to when Roxy was just a girl, a few months after mom died and dad left. When I'd work night shifts and leave Roxy with Jack after he returned from work. I remember when I returned early in the morning when they were still asleep. I'd often return to them sleeping just like how they were now.

Getting back to my unhinged feet, I walked toward Samuel with contempt but as I saw the sign of fear on his face, I suddenly got flashbacks from the past before my eyes as if I was witnessing those moments in the present. Flashback : “Todd,” a beautiful young woman shrieked when someone killed that man in front of her and from the pained look in her eyes, I anticipated that it was her mate. The man didn’t only kill her mate but also, pushed him down the hill. The lady started crying loudly, collapsing to the ground. The killer chuckled mercilessly while that girl got up from the ground and walked to the spot where her mate was standing a second ago, close to the hill.
