Thomas screams at her. “Tell me the truth, Tobias. Did you ever love me?” Kendra asks. She looks so frail. “Are you okay?” I ask her. “I am fine. My daddy is taking excellent care of me,” Kendra says. “Thomas is taking care of you?” I ask her. “Yes, Thomas is taking care of me,” Kendra says. Her eyes are blank. She looks malnourished. “You do not seem okay. You seem very different,” I say to Kendra. She looks back at Thomas.

She looked like the perfect mix of her mother and I, but I believe she looks more like Raven every day, whereas Hael is starting to resemble me a lot more. After we held all the funeral services, Kerry left for her daughters pack, she video calls every week to see the kids and because of that Raven has established a relationship with her cousin, and I with their Alpha. We now have an alliance with one another, expanding our reaches with the packs because of it.

I say, leaning back and crossing my arms. “You have not been called upon Alpha Athena..” “Alpha Queen.” “Excuse me?!” “My correct title, Elder Castor, is Alpha Queen Athena, if you insist on using such nonsense.” “Actually?” He asks, his eyebrows disappearing up under his grey hair. “Yes, I am Alpha of Blackmoon and Queen of the dark faes. But when the last student leaves, he's still there, organizing papers at his desk. "Miss Hayes? A moment, please." I close my eyes and take a deep breath before walking down to his desk. "You wanted to see me, Professor?" "Yes, about your paper." He leans back in his chair, studying me with those gray eyes that always seem to see too much. "And about your future. I've been teaching for fifteen years, and I rarely encounter students with your natural ability to tap into... darker emotions. Tell me, what inspired such raw honesty in your writing?"
