He removed his hand from mine and lifted his other to show off some large pliers of some sort.

Kara POV “Are you sure about this little wolf?” Elio’s deep voice asks me as I look down the side road we have parked at just outside the Silvermoon pack. I’m not entirely, but if I tell him this, he will attempt to talk me out of it. “It’s what needs to be done.” He presses his lips into a thin line. Paper is thicker, his brown-black eyes searing into my skin. My wolf presses forward and I can see the glow of my purple eyes reflected in his own. The Eclipse is at its peak and I only have a moment before they leave without me.

KYLIE's POV We didn't immediately leave the second ritual site. We watched the bamboo house burn to the ground, and just when we thought it was over, an eclipse took place. We watched in surprise as the earth began to darken. "It's an eclipse." I said, my voice filled with awe when I looked up to see the moon slowly begin to cover the sun. "Well, that's an unexpected situation." Elijah commented from beside me, "Jason, does it say anywhere in the news that there's supposed to be an eclipse today?"

Suddenly, the words shifted, revealing a hidden message: "Beneath the lunar eclipse, Where darkness reigns, seek the light." A shiver ran down my spine. The lunar eclipse was tomorrow night. I rushed to share the news with my allies. "We have 24 hours to find the keystone," I said, urgency lacing my voice. Michael's eyes narrowed. "We'll work through the night. Leave no stone unturned." Elijah nodded. "We'll need to gather our strength. Prepare for what's to come."

Death said, making it sound like it was anything but that. "I don't know much about kelpies aside from the cautionary tales my mother told me back when I was a child." I say, trying not to sound defensive. "You should have paid attention to your tour guide Lip. He's an interesting fellow." Death commented, and I realized he was right. Lip was of Quill's pack, yet he was able to use magic. And the way he wanted it to be kept secret of what made me think that maybe not many knew about his abilities.

A smile was itching to crawl on my lips, and no matter how I tried to stop it, it was still forming. “Give me that smile, Alice. I’ve been waiting for it.” He said, but he wasn’t smiling either. I let my lips curl into a smile, a broad one. “We’ll be late.” “Nope, we have time. Let me enjoy this for a while. So please, Alice Sullivan, future Luna of the Eclipse Pack, jump onto my lap, and let’s seal the deal.” He finally let out a smile, and it made my heart flutter. And I was sure something was happening in my core, too.

Liz said with a bright smile as her gaze darted between us. I blushed and sought cover closer to Ryder, pressing myself against him as I hid behind him slightly. "You called us?" Ryder asked, firm and to the point. David cleared his throat and took off the glasses he had been wearing to see the computer screen before he addressed us. "There's a lunar eclipse coming up," he announced. "And?" Ryder went on, seemingly uncertain as to the relevance of this news. "And it's an important celebration for our pack. I want to be sure that you know that you're expected to attend... both of you..." he went on, shifting his sharp gaze between us both.

His thought was more simple than that. He just wanted to have the same heart as her. He came to the critical point where he was almost finished. But... the light in the room was slowly dimming. The others were focusing on Liam that they had forgotten the event of today. The Solar Eclipse. The moon swallowed the sun. The sky darkened, and the shadow of the moon slowly created a ring of sunlight. Once that ring was complete, and the moon had wholly centered inside the sun, Liam's eyes opened. They were golden bright.
