No one should have to be stuck with a person like that."

I continued to creep closer. “Clark Kent is Superman, stupid,” Kimi scoffed.

Selene said in my head. "We have to keep trying." I nodded and wiped away my tears. "You're correct. But what if we don't find it out in time? The notion sent shivers down my spine. Kim was more than simply a pack member; she was a friend and one of the few who accepted me with open arms. The prospect of losing her was awful. "We won't lose her," Selene insisted. "We can't."
