Too Late for Regrets: Alpha Husband Rejects my Rejection

Too Late for Regrets: Alpha Husband Rejects my Rejection

I didn't know Karl personally, but I heard he was a dedicated warrior. A Gamma whose heart and soul lived with the very pack. "Did the marking have a purple color to it?" On the screen it's barely visible, just an outline, but when I look at him, Coren nods, adding, "Most of the knife wounds on his body had that purple-black tint to them. We're carrying out an autopsy to determine if it's dye or poison." I breathe in deeply and though my heart trembles, I say my next words steadily, "You'll know it's the same as Amelia's if the report comes back showing neither of those.

Her Rogue: Alpha Queen's Rejected Mate

Her Rogue: Alpha Queen's Rejected Mate

I continued, “the Corvin family was found dead under circumstances that raise serious concerns, not just about justice, but about our kingdom’s security.” A murmur rippled through the room. “I am therefore ordering that an autopsy be carried out on the bodies of the Corvin family,” I said firmly. “Not only to determine the cause of death, but to confirm their identities.” Fiona’s reaction was immediate. “No,” she said sharply. “We will not allow that. It is a grave disrespect to the dead.” I turned to her slowly. “Disrespect?” “Yes,” she said, her voice cool. “Such procedures dishonor noble blood.”

Biker's Forbidden Desire

Biker's Forbidden Desire

Inside were the raw, unredacted records of the Moretti succession. Medical history charts. The true, unedited chemical analysis from the private clinic. And the laboratory photographs. There was Carlo Moretti. Dead in his bed at the estate, his skin a pallid, translucent gray, his fingernails displaying the telltale dark lines of heavy metal toxicity. The independent forensic autopsy report was stapled to the rear cardboard backer. The conclusion was written in cold, clinical print: Systemic cardiac failure induced by chronic, long-term arsenic exposure. The evidence was absolute. There was no room left for strategic doubt. My mother had executed my father. And Vincent had held the door open

The Alpha’s Accidental Surrogate

The Alpha’s Accidental Surrogate

We spoke at great length about security and his plans to eliminate the Rogues, even if that would be the last time he ever did before his death. Mehn… he hasn't even done that yet. He couldn't even fulfil his last wish on earth. He was still young—just one hundred and fifteen years old. They said he went to bed the night before and never woke up. The autopsy confirmed it—he was poisoned. The one who orchestrated it is still at large, but his kitchen staff remain in a holding cell, undergoing brutal interrogations. So far, none of them have confessed. The werewolf kingdom had really lost a martyr. And I bet it's would shake other packs to the core just like it did mine.

THE PROWL OF THE ICE

THE PROWL OF THE ICE

"I won't have the city gridlocked because of rumors. Get them moving toward the Divided Pack Zones, or I’ll handle the crowd myself." He didn't even spare a glance for Sienna Quinn, who was standing by the monitors with a look of pure venom. He just signaled for me to follow him into the briefing room. "Jack, what did the autopsy show?" he asked the moment the door clicked shut. "The victim wasn't killed by a rogue, Ronan," I said, pulling up the digital scans on the main screen. "The wounds are too clean. This was a professional hit using silver-laced weaponry—standard issue for the Blackridge Task Pack."

The Vampire King’s slave mate

The Vampire King’s slave mate

Only traces of magic were found throughout her, the wounds on her body, which were all made post-mortem. Kade had never told me that he'd had an autopsy done on Anya. Why would he, when her death was so clear cut? But this report proves that the body Kade found wasn't Anya. Anya was human; both Mary and the dragon seers had confirmed that fact. I shuffle to the next page; it's a handwritten account of Kade's findings.

Enslaved Luna Becomes An Heiress

I nodded to him. “No one—not even your most trusted servant should know about this since I've already bribed the morgue attendant in your clan to keep it a secret too.” he rested his arms on his thighs. “He was poisoned, and the name of it is in the autopsy result. Now that everyone thinks that he's dead, let's see what their aim would be—right from your father's consort and her son, down to Alpha Roger.” I exhaled a deep breath, letting the hot tears roll down my eyes.

The Dark Protector

The Dark Protector

I tell her, putting my hand on her shoulder to give her comfort while I focus on the others. “Hand me that scalpel please, Kaylani.” Everett says, extending his hand. Kaylani does as he asks, and he leans over the dragon’s head, looking again at the paper before slicing into brain. Kaylani sucks in a breath. “What is it?” I ask, wanting to stay with Mere but also wanting to see what they’ve found. “Go, Avani. I can’t look, but I’ll stay right here.” I look at her, wrapping my essence around her. I can feel that she’s only mildly nauseous now, so I kiss the top of her head and jog back to where they are doing the autopsy on the young dragon.

This is book number 2. It does not disappoint. There is no loss of momentum in this series. The characters continue to grow and evolve. Never a dull chapter. Cooper really did an excellent job setting up the series with places to go and more characters to introduce. Brilliant.

When Love Became a Crime Scene

When Love Became a Crime Scene

"Kenneth, I need you to look someone up. His name is Luther Powell." "Caroline, I was just about to find you. We found the male victim by the river. You're the best forensic pathologist we have, and Captain Jenner wants you to handle the autopsy personally." Caroline's fingers trembled slightly, and her eyes flickered with uncertainty. She stammered, "T-That was fast." Before she could figure out her next move, Kenneth West already led her to the autopsy room. My body was lying on the table, swollen and smelling from being in the water for a day.

The Contract Luna's Salvation

The Contract Luna's Salvation

He rambled as he began scattering through hips of files on the table. “The… one that just laid there,” “The first royal that turned up dead,” I said. “Yes! That one, he wasn't in our club but his son wanted to join until the father stopped him,” Romero responded as he continued looking through the files, the rustling sound of the paper echoed in the entire room. “There it is!” He called. “What is?” I inquired in a soft whisper, my curiosity pushing aside my fear gradually. “His autopsy report. He was poisoned,”
