The hall was packed with elders, guards, and newly chosen sacrificial consorts, yet everyone seemed to forget how to breathe. Someone whispered, "She is not afraid of him? The Demon King's whole body carries the lust-curse. Any woman who gets too close starts collapsing within three seconds. Why is she fine?"

I explained. “Mate? Servants? Camps? What the hell happened in the last month? None of this sounds like you!” He said angrily. “Deep breath. Ready?” I asked, more to myself than to him. “Go ahead.” Denny answered curtly. “I’m a concubus, Dennis. So was Indie. The reason Drayce…. I mean Patrick, took me is that he works with a male concubus called a Vasili. He’s a king of the desire demons, incubi, succubae, and concubi.”

Carter said nervously. "There is nothing you can say that will decrease my killing appetite" Alpha Ric shook his head. "Actually, I was Alpha Nolan's beta, not until he served me to the demons to get eaten" Carter spilled in fear. "Demons feed on people?" David chuckled. "Yes!" Sophie gasped. "Demons of Kitana" she moved closer to Carter. "Wait a minute" she said to Alpha Ric. "I am just like you people now. I want to kill him too" Carter continued.

The demon pointed towards Manticat who cowered and hid under her skirt. "Oh no! He's my pet and he's dirty and so thin you might get indigestion if you eat him." The witch reasoned making the familiar babble more meows under her skirt in offense. The demon seemed to contemplate this before turning to her with a wicked smile. "Then...Can I eat you?"

How dare you guys block Demon senior's path? I guess you guys just don't appreciate your lives," Kate said arrogantly.

I look to see who it is, and it’s Chris; he has a book in his hands. “I hate demons.” The demons leave me, and they’re going after Chris because they sense that he’s going to be banishing them.

I remind him, and that's how I ended up in papa's lap with the demon whining about what I did! "If a small kitten like her could scare my troops, I guess it's time to find a better troop," papa answer him, my thought exactly I nod agreeing with him, the demon lord had to look down at his feet as he was kicked out of the throne room, he shouldn't have had snitched on me, he only made himself look bad now. "And you little one, no more poking them," he warns me but I just shrug, getting comfortable for my nap over his chest.
