Then they saw a black smoke and shadows that moves in them and whoever it pass through, dies.

Today he was not aiming to kill with it. "He must be attempting to hide and cover their tracks with the mist!" Called out one of the knights. " Don't be afraid it's just some low illusion magic!" The knights charged head first deep into the mist completely oblivious to what they were getting into. The horses the soldiers rode were not just some average find in the barn, they were some of the best war horses in the kingdom. They did not scare easy, even wounded they would get their riders through whatever was to come. Of course this did not mean they were impervious to fear or pain, everything and everyone had a pain threshold.

According to John, the knights were accustomed with man-to-man combat, and it meant that it was normal for them to see someone striking, grappling, throwing, and even slashing until bled, one of them. It had always been like that for years, it was a piece of their culture, and it had birth them their egos.

She composed herself and prepared for retreat as knights darted towards the threat. Victoria floated in the air, looking down upon anyone who brandished his sword and stood against her. For them, the knights were fighting for their families, dragged in this shady business one way or another. For glory, protection, survival… The reason might be multiple and I pitied them. I bet they didn’t know what they were standing with and that they were sent as the first batch of sacrifice.
