They found a modest inn near the edge of town, its wooden sign swaying gently in the evening breeze. The inside was warm and inviting, the low hum of conversation filling the space.
Adrian approached the innkeeper, a sharp-eyed woman with a no-nonsense expression. “A room for two.”
She studied him for a moment before nodding. “Five silver coins.”
Adrian handed over the money, then took the key.
As they made their way to the room, Elara yawned. “I could sleep for a week.”
