Athelstan leaned his back on the hard cold stone, while the wooden doors opened wide, he had sent guards to escort them to him.
His guards were escorting five knights. The green cloaks came down from his shoulders and grazed the floor. They wore brown leather chainmail engraved with the Fanil coat of arms.
The knights were unarmed, arm-in-arm holding helmets, all five stopped in front of the throne and waved their heads slightly, but did not bow.
"Five knights for a message?" asked one of the lords, arching an eyebrow.
"It's a very important message," replied one of the knights.
"Who sends you to bring this message?" asked Athelstan, looking at the knight who had spoken straight in the dark
