Luna Lawson: I noticed Aiden had fallen asleep, and I was still in chapter 1 of the novel. I covered him up too and carefully exited his room, trying not to wake him up. As I stepped out of his room and glanced backward, preparing to make my way upstairs, I saw Mikel standing in the second-floor passage, staring at me. I gulped and looked down as I attempted to walk past Mikel, but he caught me by the wrist. I wondered who had gone to wake him up from the field where he was sleeping. I got into bed and wrapped my arms around him after placing an extra blanket around us. I pressed a kiss to his jaw and rested my head against his hard chest. "Do you think she can help us for real?" I asked and he let out a shaky breath. "I don't know, Athena. I really don't know. She said she has a book which describes the realm of smoke and bones. But, I don't know what to believe" Mikael croaked. I genty patted his back and let out an exhale.
