Kyle kicked her in the gut without hesitation, sending her stumbling back. She didn’t scream. She didn’t blink. She just got back up and kept walking after us like she didn’t feel pain at all. We kept moving. The front door was blocked, three of them just standing there—waiting. We turned back, cut through the kitchen. Another figure reached out from behind the fridge, but Kyle caught him with a punch straight to the face.

Kyle asked, grinning wide. Kyle lurched forward with a guttural shriek, and he felt more power, more speed, than he’d ever had. Before any of the cops could react, Kyle unleashed a world of pain on the room, racing through the crowd, head-butting and elbowing, punching and kicking. In the blink of an eye, they were all knocked out on the floor, unmoving, with broken jaws, noses, limbs. Kyle stood there admiring his handiwork, then casually reached down, picked up two of the pistols, examined the ammunition, and stuck them in his belt, smiling.

He charged at me again, flinging his fists wildly, and I could feel the whoosh sound from his punches whizzing past my fucking face. As I moved swiftly, ducking and dodging, I carefully navigated between his attacks, waiting for the perfect opportunity. Finally, I spotted an opening. Without wasting a moment, I delivered a powerful uppercut to his chin. The satisfying sound of bones breaking beneath my gloves gave me a rush of triumph. "FUCK!" Kyle let out a growl of pain and stumbled backward, collapsing onto the mat. I mounted on top of him and flung my fists repeatedly in his face until the referee stopped me, afraid I might actually kill him.
