L Shaped Platform Beds Novels & Stories

A massive, low-profile platform bed upholstered in charcoal leather anchored the center of the space, flanked by floating side tables that emitted a soft, recessed amber glow from underneath. I walked down the short entryway, my heavy backpack dropping to the floor with a dull thud that felt loud enough to wake the dead. I moved toward the massive, floor-to-ceiling wardrobe built directly into the concrete wall. When my fingers brushed the concealed sensor pad, the heavy frosted-glass doors glided apart with a whisper-quiet mechanical sigh.

It is my own personal loft. It is an open space area with a couple of support beams and several large windows on the far side with exposed brick on two of the four walls. My queen-size black metal frame bed is nestled in a cozy corner. The bed cover is deep blue with white and pink water lilies embroidered on it and, of course, tons of pillows to match. A gray hand-me-down leather couch and dark wood coffee table are centered in the middle of the room. In the corner is a large hanging curtain that hides the toilet and a cast-iron clawfoot tub with a small baker’s rack to hold all my female necessities and towels.

I pocketed it once again. That was when the long, slow howl of an alarm filled the tiny room. I sat up quickly, rocking the bunk and startling Lucas. "The hell?" Martin snapped. We filed out of the room quickly, stepping out into the Firmament's central platform. The living space was a vast platform filled with blocks of cube-shaped living quarters. The platforms housing living quarters occupied the top four levels of the Firmament. Like the mezzanine a few levels below, each platform was built with a central hole to allow light from the Firmament's glass dome down into the other levels.

Banged up ceiling, a still demolished wall and a flooring still filled with cracks. Elizabeth glanced at Blida giving her a sudden nod, she nodded back before kneeling her left knee to the ground. Vines started merging to create a platform which accommodates most of them. The platform could only hold up a few knights due to their heavy armor being a hindrance for it to be able to climb.

It has optional shutters in case the weather is problematic but whenever she wants to, she can have it open to enjoy the night sky. Her bed frame is a white princess frame. The headboard looks like a tiara but the bed itself is in the shape of a heart. There are a plethora of pillows on the bed to help fill in any empty spaces at night. They also have small heat sensors in them if she ever gets cold at night. Plus, as an added bonus they are absolutely amazing to cuddle at night. The floors are a soft white with a big rug at the end of the bed. The rug shows a landscape similar to where her pack had been located before we moved them here. I watch as her eyes roam over all of the stuffed anim

Lilypads float along the water’s surface with beautiful pink flowers; it’s the most enchanting thing I’ve ever seen! The woman carries me down the carpeted path, over the pond and up a few small steps where a large round king-size bed resides on a raised platform. Three layers of curtains are pulled back exposing the bed. The first curtain is red and gold, then a gold curtain and then one made with gold lace. A curtain of beads surrounds the bed and I have to admit, the bed also looks gorgeous. Plush white, silk covers and white silk pillows against an ornate gold headboard that depicts a majestic golden snake.

He put the armrests on the chair and smiled, “See? It is more versatile than it looks. The platform also comes off to replace with footrests, if you need a smaller profile in front.” I asked, “I am wondering if there is a platform with a back on it. I’m trying to avoid a ball gown getting tangled in the wheels or dragging on the ground or floor.” Kai smiled, “There is a part that can snap into place. It’ll keep anything from falling underneath the chair.” I asked, “It looks like it has a small enough profile that it is more like a background piece than something the eyes will immediately land on. That’s what I like most about it.”

The walls were coated in a calming shade of midnight blue, and it is discernible on the wooden floor the labyrinthine ethnic patterns that were etched into it. Sleep is the only thing and first popped in D’Andre’s mind to do when he saw such comfortable soft mattress. Covered and all dressed in clean white linens that codified the lofty pillows is the king-sized bed that became the centerpiece of his room, plus the mahogany wood made headboard was perfectly crafted, rubbing his feet on the plush fur throw rug that was located at the foot of the bed.

And nestled at the base of the tree, a cozy badger set. She meticulously selected fabrics, cloud-soft organic cotton for the crib sheets, a plush, washable rug in the shape of a sleepy bear. She rejected a standard changing table, insisting on a custom one with rounded edges "so no owies," and lower shelves "so I can help get the nappies and creams!" One afternoon, she dragged Damien and me into the still-unfinished room. The "Moonlit Meadow" walls were half-painted, the floor dusty, but Lila’s vision was palpable. She pointed to a corner bathed in afternoon sunlight.

All of my bedding and room décor was various shades of purple and I felt those two colors would most perfectly match it. I had also found the perfect rug while we were at the home improvement store. It was a large rectangle area rug with a block pattern design of various shades of purple. It was a little more expensive than I would have normally spent but I needed a rug to go under the bed to prevent scratching up the laminate wood flooring and that one was so perfect that I just could not pass it up.
