SEVER ZERO
It was raining, a toxic, acidic drizzle that slicked the cracked pavement.
A standard Municipal Sanitation Drone rolled into the frame. It was a bulky, treaded machine, about the size of a small car, equipped with two hydraulic manipulator arms and a large trash compactor bin. It was a dumb-fire AI, programmed to do nothing but pick up heavy debris and haul it to the incinerators.
"Watch its pathing," Kara pointed with a pen.
The drone stopped in the middle of the alley. It didn't pick up the rusted washing machine sitting next to it. Instead, it raised its right manipulator arm. The arm was equipped with a high-pressure chemical cleaning laser, designed to burn graffiti off brick walls.
