The tenth floor wasn’t as bright and well-furnished as the second floor. Bryan assumed maybe the rooms became more dark and gloomy as the numbers went up. On this level was a black and red design with a black fluffy carpet that was soft to the touch. Like walking on a cloud. Bryan couldn’t help but touch the carpet. He picked up wipes, towels, sponges, dishwasher soaps, clothing soap, bleach, and basically anything you used to clean anything. He couldn't buy too much, seeing as he had to make room for other things, besides he planned to do online ordering later. Just as he moved on to the food section, he passed by a small shelf that held band-aids, so he dumped the entire section of the shelf into his cart.

When I had successfully cleaned the bathroom, along with the sink, mirror, and toilet, I grabbed a mop bucket and filled it with water. I added a little bit of bleach and Lysol all-purpose cleaner to the water and proceeded to mop the bathroom floor and then my bedroom floor. When that was done, I sprayed the room with a vanilla-scented air freshener and closed the bathroom and bedroom door so that the scent would stay in the room longer. At least to my assumption.

I recoiled slightly, nose wrinkling as I waved a hand in front of my face. “What the hell is that?” I asked, eyeing the suspicious concoction like it might come alive and eat me. He smirked, setting the bowl down on the vanity in front of me. “Powdered bleach. Gotta lighten your hair first so the pink sticks better. Otherwise, you’ll just end up with a muddy mess.”

It gave him something to do. He reached the storage cupboard near the gymnasium, unlocked the door with a jingle of keys, and pulled out his pool-cleaning trolley—a bigger rig fitted with racks for towels, spray bottles, and disinfectants. I glared at him. “I thought you said you didn’t have wipes.” He laughed and turned the tube around. “I mean if you want to clean your vagina with bleach, be my guest.” He held out a wipe to me. “Here you go.” I pulled my shirt and bra up to flash him my breasts. “Asshole, now you can’t touch these.”

Now the skies were a lot clearer and it was much safer to walk. From such a high vantage point Caroline could see all the way to the edge of the city.
