Malleteagan’s POV We are slowly but surely advancing down through ill-dimmed, sewer-like channels that separate Oribus from Damnarynth, the next circle of Wengarthria. Now I understand why they call it the way they do. It is a damn labyrinth, although I was told that it got its name from all the damned souls that are built within it. This level of Wengarthria seems like an underworld maze. It is laid out so complexly that it almost reminds of a large underworld ant heap. Ghouls of lost souls loitering around, screeching and beginning for mercy. Taking shape. "Something's coming," he said. Eliana followed his gaze. The blackness was thickening, forming walls, floor, ceiling. But this wasn't the collapsing house from before. The architecture here was wrong—twisted corridors that bent upward like staircases spiraling into nowhere, doors embedded in ceilings, windows looking out onto more windows. And everywhere, mirrors. Dozens of them. Hundreds. Reflecting nothing. "This is new," the boy whispered. Her guide's jaw tightened. "The Labyrinth of Selves. The second trial."

Mechanical limbs fused with organic precision, red sensors scanning, tracking, calculating our every move. My pulse spiked. “It’s back!” Caelum tightened his grip on my hand. “We face it. Now.” The labyrinth roared around us, alive and hungry. The air around us shimmered with tension, thick and electric. Sparks from damaged panels crackled like fireflies in the darkness, casting jagged shadows across the walls. My heart raced, matching the rapid rhythm of the labyrinth’s pulse. Below us, the new adversary moved with terrifying precision its limbs a seamless blend of metal and muscle, sensors scanning every angle, calculating every escape route.

There were only four words written in a sharp, jagged script: "STITCHES DON'T HIDE SECRETS." Underneath the words was a small scrap of fabric pinned to the paper. It was a piece of the hand-dyed indigo linen I had been working on in the lab the night before. My head reeled, voices echoed in my head. Questions swirled one after the other. How'd they get in? How did they know I live here?

“Don’t speak here. I will try reading memories attached with this place as we proceed. So, just stay close to me and watch for dark magic and traps.” “Yes, ma’am!” Lily said with a salute loudly. Lola elbowed her, and she repeated her words, but in a low tone. Everything was black. No memory came from those corridors as I walked ahead. I created my butterflies and sent them around all the branches those corridors had. The corridors were in aesthetics of grey, navy blue and black, with white light emitting from the torches. The floor looked like a chessboard. “How long are these corridors? Do they have an end?” Lola said.

Mike was afraid to say it. "Yes," Tink said, adjusting her goggles. "That's the Labyrinth." Mike's eyes traced the bottom of the trail. Beth was most of the way down, the loose gravel becoming a paved path that lead toward a large pair of iron gates. Between the rocky trail and the Labyrinth was a giant viewing pool. Tink pointed at the pool. "Shortcut for get out. We stop Jenny before Labyrinth, or lost forever." "Where does the pool go?" Mike said, looking over the ledge. How could a pool be a shortcut? How could a cave be in his house?

“If Haverstone’s notes are accurate, the fracture is at the center of the labyrinth.” “Of course it is,” Jamie muttered. “Why can’t anything ever be easy?” Callan stepped forward, their glowing eyes scanning the ruins. “The force has fortified this place. It will use the labyrinth to disorient and divide us. We must stay together.” Emma nodded, gripping the key tightly. “Let’s move.” The labyrinth was a maze of twisting corridors and dead ends, each turn marked by the eerie hum of energy that grew stronger the deeper they ventured. The walls were lined with ancient carvings, their patterns strange and unsettling, as though they had been etched by an unsteady hand.

The Labyrinth Entry The entrance gaped like a beast’s throat—twenty metres wide, as tall, a stone arch flayed by floodlights so that deep carvings cast jagged shadows. Labrys marks—double axes—glimmered where water ran down grooves older than empires. Cables snaked along the ground, feeding rows of lamps that pushed the dark only so far. The air tasted of oil, hot metal, and men who worked too long. Stephanos slipped inside, keeping low, a mouse that knew the hawks by name.

My world is a mapped out labyrinth. A seemingly impossible quest to find anything in the latter. Something so simple for others, but to me an unobtainable thing. Serenity, the one thing I yearn for since I can remember. Right in the centre of all the chaos and destruction, I dare to say, was brought upon me by my beloved ones. In a world as dark and cunning as mine one would think to take the first opportunity and get away from it all. All the anger and desires burning one from the inside and starting anew.

Liam materialized beside her, a gasp escaping his lips. They were no longer in the desolate chamber. Instead, they stood in a vast cavern, its walls adorned with intricate murals that pulsed with an otherworldly luminescence. The murals depicted scenes unlike anything they had ever seen – celestial beings locked in an epic battle, landscapes of unimaginable beauty and desolation, and symbols that mirrored the inscription from the labyrinth.
