Chapter Four “This is Elaine, Alpha Jacob’s daughter.” He said with a warm smile. I stayed silent but deep down my heart was erupting the flames of sadness. “I am Freya, Alexander’s wife.” She said with a warm smile stretching out her hand for a handshake. I didn’t need the goddess help to know that she was sounding the alarm that he belongs to her. I forced a smile but I had no time to accept the handshake, her hands were suspended in the air. This may seem so rude, but at this point I didn’t care.

She ran through the forest, feeling so free. We ran for about an hour before feeling tired. I've never felt so free in more than 10 years! You feel good huh? Very! We came across a random lake. Kyra sat down and breathed in and out, inhaling the fresh air. It was so refreshing. Kyra took a sip of the water. Her nose went too deep and she shook the water out of her nose. She laughed. And so did I. I haven't laughed for so long. She sat down and we just watched the sunset together. But not long, it was already nightfall.

His face changed, his eyes glowing an intense amber as his jaw extended into a powerful muzzle. It happened quickly, faster than Lune had expected, and soon, where Arlo had stood, a massive wolf now towered before her. He was majestic, his fur thick and dark, his eyes piercing but still carrying that same softness she knew so well. The room suddenly felt smaller with his imposing presence, but despite his size and the raw power emanating from him, Lune didn’t feel afraid.

This was somewhat of a sacred place and the perfect place for a peaceful picnic.

A place of rebirth… or total annihilation. The Lunaris Lake: the cleansing lake. My chest heaved. “If I rid myself of the darkness,” I whispered, “the world will stop bleeding because of me.” That was the lie I clung to… the lie that brought me here. The lake shimmered like molten silver under the moon. But as I stepped forward, the calm surface rippled… as if it sensed me. Judged me. I knelt at the edge and dipped my fingers into the water.

I nodded, and immediately took off running in the direction of one of the large, mirror-like lakes the pack was named for, keeping to the darker parts of the forest. Silver Waters. It was a pretty name, for a pretty location, though the same couldn't be said for the souls of many who lived here. Still, they were supposed to be among the tamer of the Lycan packs, and certainly lacked the reputation for bloodshed that some of the others were known for.

I added, staring intensely at the flowing lake under the moonlight. The lake shimmered beneath the silver gaze of the moon, its surface smooth and dark like polished obsidian. Moonlight danced gently on the water, creating ripples of light that sparkled with every soft breeze. The surrounding trees stood in silent silhouette, their shadows stretching long and quiet across the shoreline. It was a surreal view, and I wondered how he found it.

Is that person running on the lake’s surface?” Moonlight Lake was huge, especially it formed a long, narrow gourd mouth on the east side, connecting the tributary to the sea.
