Luna was exceptional. And I wondered what kind of heart she had that could love another’s child like her own. Sometimes, when I thought about it, I could only come to the conclusion that it was because she was pretty just like my mother was. And maybe if my mother were here, I would have been opportuned to have two mothers who would love me to death.
