Lorenzo strolls up looking excited as he punches a rogue knocking him to the ground. "It is a good day to kill",he yells a battle cry and attacks as his men follow. I shake my head as two jump at me but I side step and they fall face first into the dirt. "I bet that hurt",I mock them as they struggle to get up. They are dirty and most probably don't know what day it is. "Joker is here!",is yelled. "In pieces",I add as they scream and launch at me. Jason slams one to the ground and stands but before I can scream to watch out a knife goes in his side and he grunts as he kicks the man away.

His Aunt froze for a moment and scrunched up her eyebrows in confusion. I blinked. Wow, she's really dumb. Then out of nowhere, shrill laughter erupted from her, startling me in the process. Drew sighed and shook his head, Edward pinched his nose bridge, and the other girl -who I guessed was Lisa- took a step away from her crazy family member. "Ah, Ivanovo," Mrs. Joker said in between bouts of laughter. "Always a charm." Idiot.

At this moment, sitting at one of the restaurant's tables is a man damp and wet, with a smile plastered on his face. Suddenly, a loud laugh rumbled the restaurant. It was all a joke, a big funny prank on him. Pranks are funny, so Jake found it relaxing to laugh. He cackled out loud that all the waiters looked at each other. Then it subsided to a chuckle, followed by a giggle. At last Jake had stopped and had an ambiguous expression. 'Dohana, so you think you're the only one who can dish out punishments and pranks, huh? You seem to have forgotten, the company you work for launches tomorrow. Well, if I don't ruin you tomorrow, then I'm not Jake Larson. An eye for an eye.'

We all laugh at his words. Not-medicated Finn would never offer to share his food. "All yours buddy," Jai replies with a smile. "How's the leg?" "Not too bad," he admits. "Not very sore." "That's good," Jai replies as Alec mutters, "For now." "I'm feeling great," Finn assures us.

He glanced up at the sign on the side of the highway, indicating that the small farming town they were aiming for was less than ten miles away. “No, bitch,” he said aloud to the text message. “We’re already here.”

His eyes locked onto mine. “If he ever hurts you again…” His words dropped like a stone in my chest, and I froze. “I will willingly kill.” I blinked. Shock stole my breath. My first reaction was disbelief. Then, against my better judgment, I let out a laugh. It was harsh, incredulous, but it came out anyway. “You… already know how to joke now, huh?” Jaron’s lips twitched, almost the ghost of a smile, but his voice remained steady, calm, and terrifyingly sincere. “I’m not joking.”

He opened his mouth to continue speaking, but I laughed so hard in his face. "Tell me, you must be joking right? I am laughing but Leo this is the worst way to tell a joke. This isn't funny. You have to try harder if you need me to be happy, eh." Yet, after I had laughed, his face remained sullen and serious, just like before.

The scars on his face pull tight, distorting the expression into something almost inhuman. He turns toward the door. Opens it. Pauses. Glances back at Luke. He chuckles softly and makes a slow, mocking tsk-tsk-tsk sound with his tongue. “I wouldn’t count on it, little Garcia,” he murmurs.
