The House Beneath the Blood Moon

The House Beneath the Blood Moon

“It roars.” “It hums,” I said. “And that’s good. Humming means functioning.” “Humming means hungry.” “Your frame of reference is broken.” I flicked the headlights on. He recoiled. “They glow like the ring.” “They are LED.” “I thought that was the demon rectangle.” “That’s also LED.” “Why do your lights all bear the same name?” he demanded. “Are they related?” “They’re… diodes.” “That explains nothing.” “Good,” I said. “Welcome to modern technology.”

TEMPTING THE LONER

TEMPTING THE LONER

“What does it say?” The Lawyer paces around his room to the other side of his desk, opening the laptop comfortably resting on it. I didn’t notice that was there. Every single light in here is turned off, neither are there any windows for moonlight access so we’re in the dark. The only source of illumination is a candle hidden in a vintage, candle, glass lantern at a corner of the room. The Lawyer turns his laptop around to face me. On it is the code and a translation. ‘I am what or who you think me to be, brother. Do not get involved in my business or it’ll be messy.’

The Last Light in the Dark

The Last Light in the Dark

"There are no what-ifs. Just like the stars… Once they choose their path, their orbits are set. They'll never cross paths again." Lucas stared at me in stunned silence. Pain and regret welled in his eyes as a faint glint of tears formed in the corners. But in the end, he said nothing. I quietly closed the box. Then, I turned and walked away. … After returning to our home country, Lucas was convicted of intentional assault and sentenced. All the stars he had once named were revoked from official records, except one. It was the star he named "LAW" the year he proposed.

In the Chains of the Alpha

In the Chains of the Alpha

Cal watched the NARC teams pry boards off windows and doors so that they could enter. The noise of yelling, howling, and fighting echoed through the darkened openings. One thing the human police couldn’t get over were the flashlights that enforcers generally used. They weren’t the traditional white light flashlights, but a green light. With night sight being an issue, the green light caused less disruption when adjusting between light and no light for shifters at least.

The Light To His Darkness

The Light To His Darkness

LUNA'S POV I looked at myself in the mirror. I was different from the usual girls you'll see in New York. I had pure black hair, a round face with big gray eyes, a small nose, and a curvy shape. I was very well endowed but even though I was body confident, I got a lot of unwanted attention. I looked at the time and realized I was late. I bolted out of the house and ran as fast as I could. I couldn't wait for the bus and my workplace was just ten minutes away.

Into the Night

Into the Night

Prologue When I was a child, I enjoyed listening to my mother's stories. Portraying the never-ending struggle between darkness and light. I would always look forward to her stories, which would be very entertaining. She always told me darkness represents malevolence, while light represents positivity and virtue. Her belief was that the power of light was the sole means by which darkness could be defeated. The resounding message she would consistently convey in her stories is that light will perpetually prevail over the darkness.

Touched by a Vampire

Touched by a Vampire

“Yes, continue.” “Well, as you know, sunlight is broken down into three types of light: visible light, ultraviolet light, and infrared radiation,” I began. “Then, I started isolating the forms of light. Visible light has no effect on vampires, or else they would burst into flames under a light bulb. As for ultraviolet light, vampires would also burst into flames under florescent or ultraviolet light if it was the case, and they don’t.” “Which leaves infrared radiation,” Dr. Ryan finished, nodding. “You are brilliant, Dr. Reynolds.”

The Way of the Dragon

"Could it be that the deity he communicated with is really a god who can control the power of light?" For a moment, everyone understood the meaning of his words and could not help but gasp. The Power of Light was a powerful force that was famous for its natural property. It was earth-shattering and invincible. It was rare and powerful!

Enjoying the book tremendously, the characters names and even the tone of the author changed in the last 1/3 of the book was a bit confusing but was able to adjust to the changes the plot is definitely engaging and keeps you pushing to see how it all plays out for Zepher but it seem to abruptly?
