GRACE'S POV At Susan's scream, I burst into laughter, clutching my stomach as she nearly fell off the couch. “You’re lying! You have got to be lying!” She pleaded, eyes wide open. “I wish I was,” I said between laughs. My stomach was aching at that point. “That is insane. It's a full-blown disaster. There's no way they can do damage control, not at this point.” she said, shaking her head rapidly. “Exactly.” I concurred, still feasting on my popped kernels.

Seeing this, Gale realized that something was wrong. She stepped back more quickly. "Don't come here, don't touch me!" Susan just smiled, and the smile made her scalp numb and her back cold. At this moment, Susan suddenly took a big step forward, almost stepping on Gale's shoes. Gale immediately took a big step back... But! She stepped back! There were steps behind her! Gale's center of gravity shifted, and she fell backward uncontrollably, waving her hands in the air. "Yeah, Gale, be careful." Susan's voice sounded, grabbing her hand. "I'll help you."

They both went away from the vicinity of the camera. ‘They are going away’ Lisa said frantically. Jeremy did his tricks and this time they were in macro’s room. Their cloths were discarded and their body was covered in sweat as their body rhythm matched each other. ‘Shit!’ Lisa exclaimed giving Jeremy the laptop who closed it ‘the girl did her fucking job to well’. She puts her head in between her hands as she thinks of what to do. ‘I need to get her out of there and fast’. Susan yawned as she opened her eyes by a quarter, she groaned as she used her hand to cover her face. The sunlight rays entered the room which made her to close her eyes again.

Grace did not understand what was going on until she saw Susan's bed surrounded. She rushed to Claire's cot and pushed it away before someone would trip on it. Susan heard haze sounds around her as she drifted from reality to the other side. She did not understand what the fuss was all about, the images surrounding her slowly turned blurry and moved in circles. She could sense the panic in their voices and searched for one voice that she hoped to hear before she blacked out, Zain's voice.

The blackout was not an absence of light: it was a presence of absolute, devouring gravity. Inside the central altar of the Silver Moon palace, the air had reached a state of "Super-Saturation." Every molecule of oxygen was so laden with antagonistic static from the government’s towers that breathing felt like inhaling pulverized glass. Jack slid across the floor. He slammed into Catherine’s ice block. He wrapped his non-cursed arm around it, digging his blackened fingers into the floor to anchor them. "Got you," Jack gritted out, blood dripping from his chin onto the ice. "I got you."

I almost pulled it off for her, but in a twist no one saw coming, I ended up marrying her son. That was why Sabrina could not stand me, and by extension, my little girl, Ruby. I stumbled backward, shock flooding me. Susan caught me before I hit the ground. “What—” My voice slurred. Her expression softened, regret flickering in her eyes. “I’m sorry.” My vision darkened. The corridor blurred. My body felt heavy. I tried to move. Tried to push her away. But my limbs wouldn’t respond. Darkness crept in from the edges of my vision. My thoughts slowed. Susan’s face blurred above me. She knocked me out. The thought felt distant. Faint.

She received a reply immediately along with a small reminder from Susan about the day's activity. Shortly, Susan arrived, her sleek chin-length bob sweeping across her neck as she rushed into the villa, her heels clicking on the marble floor. "Ivy, darling!" she exclaimed, air-kissing her friend's cheeks. "I'm so sorry I'm a minute late. Traffic was a nightmare." Ivy laughed, embracing Susan's energetic entrance. "You're right on time, Susie. I was just getting outside." Susan's eyes wandered over her, checking out her custom-made outfit. A white tank top and rugged jeans gave her a hint of rugged charm. "Wow, you look just like the badass character from 'Echoes of Darkness'!" Susan exclaime

Then waited. Footsteps. The door cracked. “Meekey?” Vanessa stood there, robe tied tight, hair in rollers, eyes wide. Her cousin hadn’t changed much—just older around the eyes, thinner maybe. Still had that same sharp look, like she could cut you with a stare if she had to. “Hey, V.” Vanessa didn’t move at first. Just looked at her, like she was trying to figure out if Meekey was real or just some ghost dragging chains.
